This restaurant is inside Siargao Island Villas. The ambience is spot on. It was poolside with beach view.
The food was just alright. I expected better for the price point they were charging guests.
The laksa was average. It had 1 shrimp, some small pieces of fish and a lot of noodles with soup. The soup was far from the singaporean version of the dish which was understandable. More toppings would've been appreciated.
The nasi campur was pricey since the marinated fried chicken that came with it was bland, dry and average at best. The beef rendang was good but I've had better. The vegetables were forgettable.
Rating this 2 stars cos on top of the average at best type of food (with great view though hahah) there were a lot of flies! May mga langaw talaga guys, like you need to shoo them away from time to time while having your meal 🥲 It wasn't hard to shoo them away but of course given an option, I would prefer to dine peacefully without flies diba
On the positive side, you get 2 hrs free internet when you dine in.
Pool use for restaurant guests is Php 500 per head, not consumable.
They accept credit card for payment, yay for...
Read moreMy recent dinner with my wife at Warung Siargao was a delightful journey through Indonesian cuisine. The aromatic spices instantly filled the air, whetting my appetite even before I saw the menu. We opted for the Mie Soto and the Mantap Padang, and both dishes were exceptional. The Mie Soto's savory broth and perfectly cooked noodles were incredibly comforting, while the Mantap Padang offered a delightful explosion of flavor with its rich and flavorful curry. But the delicious food was just part of the experience. What truly enhanced the evening was the live, mellow music. The talented musicians created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfectly complementing the flavorful dishes. The music was gentle and unobtrusive, providing a relaxing backdrop to our conversation. It was the perfect touch for a truly enjoyable evening. Overall, Warung Siargao is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delicious and relaxing dining experience in Siargao. The combination of exceptional Indonesian cuisine and a mellow atmosphere makes...
Read moreThe food was really good, large enough serving, reasonably priced as well. It's just that one of the waitresses was really rude.I asked for extra bowls first then I noticed that she got irritated and placed the bowls on the table as if she didn't want to,making an unfriendly gesture. Then I went to the counter to ask for extra rice as not to irritate her, then she said "PILA?!" in an unfriendly bisaya manner. I would know If someone is rude or just simply tired,it was still 3pm though. No eye contact,no response from her, even an okey would do. I observed that she was more friendly to foreigners.Probably a Filipina who hates another Filipina, who would love to serve foreigners?Hahaha I would go back for the great food but not for racist...
