MACY'S DINER — Restaurant in Ilocos Norte

2 stars for the food; 4 stars for the place.

I ordered their Combo 5 (grilled pork spareribs, buttered vegetables, rice and soda) and found it disappointing. The spareribs was bland that I hardly tasted anything from its mixture. The buttered veggies was nothing remarkable and hardly tasted any butter in it.

Their Strawberry Milkshake, which I also ordered, was another disappointment as it lacks thickness and creaminess. I also found the dish watery and overly sweet.

The design of the diner, on the other hand was commendable. Its black-and-white tiles, retro bar, stools and booths reminds you of the 50s most especially with their Elvis Presley poster hangings.

The diner is also dotted with vintage movie posters, dominantly ones with James Dean's face on it, and different signages of popular US cities which makes the ambiance more American.

Instagram-able? Hell, yes; most especially if you're a fan of diner-inspired restaurants or simply just a Riverdale fan.

Also recommended if you're looking for budget-friendly eateries in Laoag and doesn't mind the taste...

I walked in around 7:45PM. One gentleman and a family were having a meal. Not one of the staff said good Evening. Found a place and Sat down - no one paid me any attention as the three servers were busy talking or playing with their gadgets. Finally walked up to the counter and picked up a menu. One of the servers came to take my order. Good tacos, very disappointing cheeseburger, good Maki. Paid after eating - no one even said thank you. Recommended if you want to eat the worst club sandwich on the planet . Processed cheese,spam and a plastic tasting egg on toasted cheap white sliced bread all topped with a smearing of marmalade!!!!! Yes marmalade,truly disgusting. The so called milkshake was the most watery milkshake I've ever had the displeasure to drink, and the service matches the food. I never review restaurants or judge places by one meal but you really need to warned about this place. It's a shame I'm giving it a one star rating if I could go...
