The Granary — Restaurant in Iloilo City

We had the worst experience in the restaurant while we were checked-in at Richmond Hotel. When we ordered our food at dinner, the waiter informed us that the serving time was 40 minutes. We concurred and waited for our food.

After 1 hour, we checked with the waiter as to how many more minutes that we have to wait for our food. They said they checked the kitchen and our food is being prepared but can not give the number of minutes.

1 hour and 30 minutes passed, we followed-up and still no food and can't give the number of minutes.

After 2 hours, we followed-up and they said that our food MIGHT come out in another 15 minutes. That is when we decided to step out of the restaurant hingry and totally disapppinted. 😡

We know it was a full house tonight but the other tables were being served with their food. There was not even a manager that approached us to explain to us the situation and apologize for the inconvenience we were...

First, the Richmond Hotel Iloilo staff is warm and accommodating. We were not checked in here, but the staff's kindness and warmth really made you feel at home (the Ilonggo lambing is real!). I knew I made the right choice to take my brother here for his pre-birthday dinner, which was a Filipino (Ilonggo) themed buffet - meaning the Ilonggo versions of dishes such as Lengua Estufado and Lechon Ilonggo were served. Had a buffet breakfast here in March 2022. For the price, it was not good.

There's only a few viand: fish, chicken longanisa, bacon, ham, and egg. Fish was not that appetizing.

They have an egg station but they don't cook the egg well. Eggs, scramble and sunny side up, are all wet. Also the set-up is all wrong.

They do not have fresh fruits.
