Read moreI recently dined at "Yega Restaurant” a cozy restaurant located in the heart of downtown. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor, with its wooden tables and chairs, vintage accents, and soft lighting, made me feel right at home.
The menu featured a variety of dishes, all made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. I decided to start with the roasted beet salad, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I ordered the braised short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with rich, savory flavors.
The service was exceptional - our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making sure that our glasses were never empty and that we were enjoying our meal. The chef even came out to chat with us and check on our experience, which was a nice touch.
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Yega. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining...
Read moreFirst of all I'm Korean American and one of my favorite foods is Korean food. I've tried Korean food both in America and in Korea thus I consider myself somewhat of a Korean food junky. This is the 3rd Korean restaurant we've tried here in the Philippines and I'm quickly finding out the Filipinos put a whole new twist on Korean cuisine. We had the pleasure of trying Yega last night and we ordered yukgaejang ( spicy shredded beef soup), jjambong (spicy seaood soup), deluxe sashimi, tteokbokki, and kimchi fried rice. Overall it probably was the most authentic Korean restaurant we've tried in the Philippines thus far yet it still had a slightly different variation of the theme. Customer service was pretty good but unremarkable. The major complaint I had was the temperature in the restaurant was too hot. It was uncomfortable to eat spicy, hot food when the temperature on the AC is set at 26C. The sashimi still was slightly frozen. The tteokbokki had too much fish flavor to it which it shouldn't have. The Jjambong lacked the the quantity and quality of big pieces of shrimp and mussels that really make...
