I dine here today for the second time. My first time was back in February of this year. I like the food. But every time I eat here I feel totally uncomfortable so I don't think I will be going back. I understand that I am a black foreigner and I am sure they don't see that type of person daily. So I can understand the looking at me for a short period of time. But from the moment I entered the restaurant till I finished eating my meal and left the entire staff was staring at me. This made me very uncomfortable it has happened to me both times I have visited this restaurant. And the waitress that presented me with the bill and received my payment didn't greet me or say anything at all. The security guard did greet me and welcome me and there was a lady there who seems to be a manager or supervisor and she did tell me thank you when I was leaving. But I did not feel welcome and I don't understand why the staff was constantly looking at me the entire time I'm trying to...
Read moreLuk Foo had a decent reputation and decided to bring the family for a treat. The menu is exhaustive and contains numerous Chinese culinary specialties all cooked to order in an open kitchen. It literally took about 15 minutes to peruse the vast menu and we finally decided to try a couple of the house specials like the Dimsum Combination Platter, BBQ Combination Platter, Luk Foo Fried Rice, and a couple other individual items. The preparation of the meal took quite a while, we waited about 30 minutes before the waiter showed up with the Dimsum platter. The rest of the food came out separately and in all took about an hour to complete the service. Sadly, the quality of the meal was lacking in taste and totally cold. We didn't complain as service was slow and I couldn't bear the idea of waiting longer. We probably would have been best off by ordering some of the more simple menu items. We may or may nor try this restaurant again. Located in Mabalacat at Puregold...
Read moreFood is always served quickly and of high quality. The taste of the dishes has remained consistent over the years. I have been eating here since I was a kid, and it is my family’s go-to restaurant. Some of my favorite dishes include the ultra-large and tasty siomai, taro puff, Chinese beef tenderloin, shark fin dumplings, crispy golden shrimp cake, and fish fillet tausi. Their spareribs are also good, whether in sweet and sour, strawberry flavor or just plain salt and pepper. The roast duck is recommended if you're feeling fancy, but just order it plain and chopped. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food tastes great, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Expect to pay around 400-700 per person, which is relatively inexpensive compared to most Cantonese restaurants...
