Founders Donuts - Makati branch — Restaurant in Makati

First the location. Not a difficult place to find but getting UP on it can be dizzying. The main door with no knobs or handles make you think if a secret password is needed to open it. Alas, just push it hard! The stairs are so narrow and steep; there are 2 flights to finish to reach your goal. Just keep on turning right and let not your sight stray or you be lost!

The place looks like something designed by a hyperactive Gen-z’er. Comfortable and picturesque on one side and the other side looking like a war room in one of those big business companies (a glass board hanging on a wall with draw curtains…how eclectic can that be?)

I am a big fan of donuts (well, all pastries actually!) and I should say that Founders Donuts captivate the sense of sight, smell and taste. Again, another local product that we can be proud of! No wonder Founders is making some big waves and I am glad for the chance...

They've improved so much from when they first went viral in 2022 (?) to what they're offering now. They now have a sit down dining place (albeit small), more donut flavors, more drinks, and even better quality donuts!

Compared with other major donut shops, Founders has the same quality (if not better) but lower price points. There's bundles and combos too and an array of coffee and drink selections.

Finally had the chance to visit Founders Donuts and it did not disappoint!

They're currently doing a collaboration with Biscoff, and we got to try the Lotus Biscoff Frosted and Lotus Biscoff Cream donuts — both priced at &59 each.

You can also grab a box of 6 for ₱294 or a box of 12 for ₱588 — perfect for sharing (or not!).

We also tried their coffee — the Cafe Breve (₱155) and the Tres Leches Latte (₱145). Both were smooth and well-balanced, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the donuts.

The space itself is cute and inviting, and the staff were all super nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're a donut or...
