La Nuova Pasteleria — Restaurant in Makati

The Bruschetta and other appetizers were delicious, and true enough the pastas were top class. However the male server was really aloof and unfriendly, compared to other servers I have met at other restaurants. He was unwelcoming when we came in and just generally a little bit standoffish.

On my tenderloin main, I found a piece of hair in my mushroom sauce but I couldn't be bothered to tell them as I wouldn't know what will be in my next dish so I just took it out and just left the sauce aside.

The place is small and rustic but it goes with the overall vibe of the place. It can be hard to get seating especially during peak hours so I suggest arriving early. Have eaten here so many times and I believe you won't go wrong with anything you order. If I were to choose though, I really like their raviolis and their tomato based sauces. I ordered the carbonara which clearly stated on the menu that it was made of parmesan, bacon, eggs and spaghetti. What i was given was a cream carbonara. When i raised this up to the staff, they defended their menu by saying because the dish was classified under Cream Pasta that’s why there is cream even if the cream was not mentioned under the ingredients of Carbonara on their menu.
