Well, we bought cake last Sunday and we asked the cashier (name not given even on the receipt) if they give discount to the señior citizen and I have the authorization letter and Senior Card but she said it has to be present! Wth? Pandemic time would you still ask thr senior to go out? I again ask the cashier Ms, its pandemic they are not allowed to go outside she said it is the store policy that they are present. I never even bother to ask the cashier for manager or supervisor instead, I asked for feedback or customer service dept where I can provide feedback she gave me a number at the back of the receipt. I have been buting cakes at Purple Oven, originally on Oranbo and was super siked they opened a branch in Sacred Heart. We used to live nearby and got baptized in the church across the building so I know the area pretty well. Purple oven rarely disappoints. Only one time during the holiday season because the cake delivery ran late. But all is well because I was able to order in advance for Christmas eve. The price has increased through the years but still reasonable. My fave is grandma's chocolate cake and dome cake. Be it sweet or savory, their in-house bakers are doing something right with the high quality ingredients they are using, and the expert methods they are employing. I like that they post on a blackboard when the baked goods will be out fresh from the oven so you can aptly time your visit.
