We have been to most of the Bistro Group restaurants in MOA and Uptown and noticed that the customer service is not the same in all of them. At Watami Grill and Sushi Bar, the service was excellent. The staff checked on us every five minutes to see if we liked the food or needed anything. Thank you to the managers on duty on February 15 at around 9 p.m.
Our experience at Fish and Co./Modern Shang Restaurant at UP Town Katipunan was very different. The braised beef noodles took much longer than expected. Even after we finished our food, one of my child’s orders still hadn’t arrived. We followed up four times but never got an apology or any explanation. Instead, Manager R.M dismissed us. We also felt discriminated against because the said manager kept checking on two women speaking English every two minutes, while we were completely ignored—even though we were sitting right next to them.

Unfortunately, my visit was marred by a disappointing interaction with the manager. When I asked for my free coffee but forgot my bff card, I was met with an unfriendly and unaccommodating response. While I understand if it's not possible to get the coffee without the card, the manager's tone and attitude was very off-putting. Instead of politely explaining the policy, she bluntly stated "Ganyan lang talaga" which came across as rude. When I mentioned that I would file a complaint and asked for her name, she moved closer to me to see her nameplate in a way that felt almost challenging. Read moreWe went to Bulgogi Brothers Korean BBQ Restaurant at Greenbelt. This is the first time we visited this restaurant. We ordered one of the platters which comes with the side orders. We were asked if we wanted soup with our order. We said no. When they brought out our meal with the side orders they brought out a soup which we thought was one of the side orders. When we got our bill, there was a charge for the soup. We questioned the management and said they would credit our bill, but we found out the employees would pay for the mistake.
