El Rico Suite Makati by RedDoorz — Hotel in Makati

Was in Manila for 3 days and we took this hotel||||Good thing about the hotel||1) Near to eatery places a few shops and fast food restaurants. There is even a supermarket nearby that opens till 1am.||2) The room that we got was a huge room with two bathroom 1 toilet a small kitchen area with fridge, a living room and a queen size bed with TV.||3)Good for a few nights stay and travelling in huge family.||||What is BADLY needed for the hotel||1) The rooms are a bit bare, cupboards are worn out and the panels just came off the hinges. The sofa is old and musky.||2) The bathroom needs improvement especially the water heater. The one we got the plug was so worn out the heater did not work. Bathed for 3 days with cold water.||3) The TV at times died out due to some satellite signals etc etc. We watched the TV at night for news updates of the country and it does not work at all.||4) The aircond seriously needs and upgrade. Noisy and it looks worn out.||5) The staff are a bit unsure of our request (probably due to language). There is no wifi in the room just the lobby area. So need to go down at the lobby for...

This property is located along Metropolitan Avenue which is really convenient since it's close to 3 fast food chains & a shop wise supermarket. The property is not new but its clean. We reserved a Family suite room at a very affordable rate and I can say it's a bargain & we got a huge room for a party of 5. Our room has a reception area, 2 comfort rooms which is not common for a family room, & 2 bed rooms. The room has 2 sofas, a color TV and a couple of lampshades. It has a huge refrigerator in the kitchen area but no microwave which is kinda disappointing if you want to reheat or cook something. Sleeping comfort is ok though I find the bed a little hard but overall the room served it's purpose. Wifi is only available in the lobby and no connection inside the room. I highly recommend the El Rico Suites, we have been here in the hotel for the last week and have been very happy with the cleanliness of the place, the staff and also the service which we have recieved. ||||My wife is a particular lady, and therefore everything had to be just right, and it was, clean towels, sheets etc available everyday, room cleaned and everything was left in its place and not disturbed. ||||The El Rico is not a high class hotel, with Bars and a restauarnt, but more a home away from home that we shall be happy to return to time after time. If you want a plastic, high class hotel, where the staff are plastic too, then don't stay here, But if you wanted to be treated like a member of the family, looked after, cared for then El Rico Suites...
