Negative: two floors of space filler. Positive: small area about Jose Rizal and the Yuchengco family history. The Yuchengco Museum is housed within the modern Yuchengco Tower and spans floor floors. Entrance is 200peso which in hindsight isn’t good value to the floor fillers on ground and 3rd floor. The most worthwhile exhibits are found on the , 4th, and 2nd floors. These areas focus on the Yuchengco family’s history, tracing their roots from China to the Philippines, and feature artefacts, photographs, and memorabilia related to Ambassador Alfonso Yuchengco, who built his legacy in Manila. The 3rd floor is largely dedicated to architectural displays, which come across more as space fillers unless you have a particular passion for architecture. Similarly, the ground floor also focuses on architectural expressions, adding little to the overall visitor experience. The 2nd floor houses a small but interesting exhibition on José Rizal, showcasing some of his personal artefacts, books, and references to significant women in his life. While this exhibit is meaningful, the space allocated is quite limited. Overall, the museum suffers from too many “filler” exhibits, particularly the repeated architectural themes, which dilute the visitor experience and make the entrance fee feel less worthwhile.

I recently visited the museum on International Museum Day when they offered free admission. Although I was eager to explore its renowned exhibits, my experience was marred by significant accessibility issues, highlighting a disparity for visitors with disabilities. The museum lacks tactile exhibits and braille descriptions or markers for visually impaired visitors, as well as sign language interpretation or transcripts for audio-visual content for hearing-impaired visitors. Additionally, there were few to no detailed markers or descriptions for many of the paintings, artists, and exhibits. This severely limited the ability to fully engage with and appreciate the art, detracting from the overall experience. It was quite fun though, but not really something to be sought-after. :-/

We were a little bit disappointed. The exhibition is rather small. There are 22 paintings of Amorsolo on the ground floor (really pleasant to watch, full of light and full of life) and interesting paintings from Puruganan family. But even with reading all the descriptions one may allocate to spend in the museum no more than 30 minutes. When we visited there was a flat entrance fee of 50 PHP. We were the only guests even though it was Saturday afternoon… it is still worth a visit if one is in the neighborhood but maybe not as sole reason to travel.

For only P100, you can visit Yuchengco Museum in Makati. Once you enter the place, there will be souvenirs infront, you can check it out. I would like to have a souvenir from Yuchengco but the price is not pricing (kidding) I like the creative artwork, the explanation of the yuchengco group and their history. For me this sightseeing museum is average, I appreciate the artworks however some of the artworks are not detailed. I guess they should work more on the details. Anyway, great place to check the visual artworks!

Went on the weekday. When you plan to kill time while in Ayala Makati, this place is perfect. This is located in RCBC Plaza building. For 50.00 you can get inside. But during my visit the Juan Luna paintings were not displayed. Most of the displayed painting were of Amorsolo. You can ask the help desk though what paintings are being displayed before entering. If you get hungry there are restaurants and shops inside the building. This is located near MRT and malls too.

Not a bad experience. Entrance fee 100 pesos. If you like to seize any opportunity seeing arts this is for you. The exhibits are not so many, but with 4 floors of area it can be entertaining for less than an hour. There are quite a variety of different types of exhibits, and they are classified in order. Chinese arts, arts by Filipino masters, and those by contemporary youth artists etc. I saw people mostly came on pairs or in groups, and they had a good time here.
