Negative: two floors of space filler. Positive: small area about Jose Rizal and the Yuchengco family history.

The Yuchengco Museum is housed within the modern Yuchengco Tower and spans floor floors.

Entrance is 200peso which in hindsight isn’t good value to the floor fillers on ground and 3rd floor.

The most worthwhile exhibits are found on the , 4th, and 2nd floors. These areas focus on the Yuchengco family’s history, tracing their roots from China to the Philippines, and feature artefacts, photographs, and memorabilia related to Ambassador Alfonso Yuchengco, who built his legacy in Manila.

The 3rd floor is largely dedicated to architectural displays, which come across more as space fillers unless you have a particular passion for architecture.

Similarly, the ground floor also focuses on architectural expressions, adding little to the overall visitor experience.

The 2nd floor houses a small but interesting exhibition on José Rizal, showcasing some of his personal artefacts, books, and references to significant women in his life. While this exhibit is meaningful, the space allocated is quite limited.

Overall, the museum suffers from too many “filler” exhibits, particularly the repeated architectural themes, which dilute the visitor experience and make the entrance fee feel...

Yuchengco Museum is a gem of a museum located in the heart of Makati City, Philippines. With its unique and diverse collection of art, artifacts and memorabilia, the museum offers a glimpse into the rich culture and history of the Philippines.

One of the highlights of the museum is the Carlos Botong Francisco Gallery, which features the works of one of the Philippines' most celebrated artists. The gallery showcases Francisco's masterpieces, including his famous mural, The First Mass at Limasawa.

Aside from the art collection, the museum also features exhibits on the history of money, showcasing rare and ancient currencies from all over the world. Visitors can also explore the Filipino heritage gallery, which displays traditional costumes, textiles, woodcarvings, and other artifacts that showcase the rich cultural diversity of the Philippines.

Overall, the Yuchengco Museum is a must-visit attraction for art aficionados and history buffs. Its impressive collection and curated displays make for an enriching and...

The fourth floor is a wonderful museum with a lovely tribute to Jose Rizal. The story of this Philippine hero is well worth hearing and learning. The third floor tribute to the Philippine artists is absolutely amazing. How the artists transformed very large eggs (about 18" tall) into to classic works or art is a study in creativity. Well worth seeing. The second floor is a most interesting peek into the nightmarish world of this conflicted artist. I thought I had bad dreams, but this artist makes me feel much better. The first floor entry is also a small gift souvenir shop. Very cute, interesting items are available. Like many others have said, the EDSA memorial of the uniting Filipinas has been poluted by the hoard of smokers massing in its area. Unfortunately the area stinks. If you can brave the smell and make it into the museum, you will be well rewarded. Also, there is a small entry donation of 100 pesos per person. The tour is well worth...

I recently visited the museum on International Museum Day when they offered free admission. Although I was eager to explore its renowned exhibits, my experience was marred by significant accessibility issues, highlighting a disparity for visitors with disabilities. The museum lacks tactile exhibits and braille descriptions or markers for visually impaired visitors, as well as sign language interpretation or transcripts for audio-visual content for hearing-impaired visitors. Additionally, there were few to no detailed markers or descriptions for many of the paintings, artists, and exhibits. This severely limited the ability to fully engage with and appreciate the art, detracting from the overall experience. It was quite fun though, but not really something to be sought-after. :-/

We were a little bit disappointed. The exhibition is rather small. There are 22 paintings of Amorsolo on the ground floor (really pleasant to watch, full of light and full of life) and interesting paintings from Puruganan family. But even with reading all the descriptions one may allocate to spend in the museum no more than 30 minutes. When we visited there was a flat entrance fee of 50 PHP. We were the only guests even though it was Saturday afternoon… it is still worth a visit if one is in the neighborhood but maybe not as sole reason to travel.
