Coconut Grove — Restaurant in Manila

First the good.

Absolutely one of the most stunning views in Manila. I enjoyed the pool also which was just surreal.

Now the bad.

The food wasn't too great. Particularly at the price and the service wasn't up to the standard of the Admiral Hotel. Had to ask multiple times for anything. Also purchased a bottle of Champagne which wasnt on the bar menu but was available inside at the dining room. The bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut which retails for a little over $70 in Australia cost me $268 Australia Dollars. Then upon settling the bill I was escorted all the way to the hotel reception where my bags were being held to ensure payment was satisfied. The lack of trust given the fact that the hotel confirmed they had my luggage in their care was staggering. The price gouging on the sparkling wine, eye watering.

I know Wine is imported in the Philippines but a $200 AUD...

Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. My husband and I just moved into the building next door for two months and I was very excited to eat here often and entertain some of our clients as their menu looked great and so did their buffet. My husband Recieved his very average fish and and chips while I waited over half an hour after he had finished for my food to arrive. After asking multiple servers to check on it with no responses, we finally got up to leave. For a finer establishment with many employees roaming around and very pricey food items (which was not an issue for us at all) this was totally unacceptable service. We will never return to this establishment…highly disappointed! Don’t waste your time...

Coconut Grove is the rooftop bar / restaurant of the newly renovated Admiral Hotel. This is probably the only rooftop restaurant in this area where you can have a nice view of Manila Bay and see the Manila yacht club.

This rooftop restaurant is also where the swimming pool is and this is the area where you can have a view of Manila Bay. The food here are sandwiches, fish and chips, salads, etc. there's also plenty of cocktails to choose from. Prices are what you can expect from a hotel so...
