Hotel Ava Malate — Hotel in Manila

It was great! The 24 hours we spent was worth it. At first we were kind of disappointed by the outer appearance, especially that we kept on smelling urine everywhere on our way there. Guards are all around the area though, so no matter where you enter, you'll be accommodated by them and bring you to their information desk to confirm your booking. They let us in the waiting room (needs air freshener) first for the preparation of our room, and then after a few minutes, we are guided to a "garage like" room and went upstairs. It really does have an unusual layout, but once you're in your room, your stay is going to be worth it. Our room was spacious and luxurious! They have lots of light settings, the bathroom have its shampoo container, tap and shower that provides hot&cold water, and a whole toilet paper. There are lots of inclusions too like the WiFi, mini bath soap, toothbrushes, mini toothpaste, slippers, hard towels (really amazing 😻 dries up your body so well) and a blower that you can use. They also have their own menu, but we haven't bought anything since we won't be there for so long. Going to 7/11 only takes 5-7 mins to walk. When we went outside, the lady guard currently on duty in our exit is very thoughtful and friendly that she warned us about the people around and always greets us. The area is really their downside since the other side have lots of squatters and probably is the source of the unpleasant smell. Trash is also everywhere outside. The hotel is located at the border of down town Manila that I can go to almost everywhere and metro station in a 10 minutes walk distance. Although the neighbourhood is messy, the security of hotel made me felt taken care and the room service was very good. At beginning something gone wrong. I booked the hotel to somewhere from afar (same Ava but in different place) and they still accepted my request to shift the booking to this one. They helped me to send my clothes washed and call a taxi to the airport. The service is really good. With regard to the equipment, the room 47 include several disadvantages. For example the air conditioner is annoying a little bit, the TV connection to local channels is really bad, and the uncomfortable desk and chairs are not suit for business working.
