We came from Malate Church (Our Lady of Remedies) and crossed the road as this is one of the nearest resto here in Roxas Blvd. This may be the oldest (and biggest) branch of Aristocrat. It had an issue before with regards their waste discharged to Manila Bay (hope they fixed it already). The staff are polite and welcoming. Our server is nice. Most customers were elderly, or foreigners escorted by skimpy clad girls from the nearby red light district. Yes this place offers Filipino food which is a no-brainer for balikbayans and tourists from outside the country too but the price, for the sake of honesty (well it is known among locals anyway), is EXPENSIVE. This is fine dining anyway so for those looking to save but wanting to sample how Filipino food tastes like, you may go to carinderia or turo turo. It costs a fraction there. But sanitation wise, most are clean, few not too meticulous. Be careful and check first. Back to the topic. We did not have to wait long, they seated us fast and orders were taken quicky (had not even chosen well yet). Anyway we had the set meal for our group of 4. It was 2700, and when I computed the price per dish, softdrink and cake, it seems you did not really save money with it, just the same when you order all items one by one. You are just spared of the dilemma to pick. The place has warm (yellow) lighting as you can see in the picture and the surroundings look quite aged but maintained well. Was surprised food arrived earlier than expected! Presentation was good, there's even candles below the bowls to heat it. All the food - delicious! I find the torte cake too sweet but hey I am not complaining. I had it before in their other branches so I know it really tastes like that. My fave here tho is their java rice grilled chicken but we did not have it tonight. The set offers the honey roast chicken (which truly was SMALL, maybe the cracklings and banana was to compensate for its size), sinigang, bistek, pancit, rice softdrink, junior cake. My only problem here is the bill out. We wanted to pay but it seems the waiting staff there a while ago has been off and running so we called another one. We were on standby for a good amount of time to get the bill. Then we waited for a long while again to get the credit card back. My companion cannot hold back and asked why, the waiter said cashier was NEW. Oh well. I deem half an hour not a reasonable time to make your customers wait to pay when we were already rushing to leave. All things considered, this is an institution and well recommended. As the name implies, Aristocrat, it may be so for the who's who of the bygone era. But now, there are numerous other expensive Pinoy and fusion restaurants for the adventurous who's up for new culinary discoveries, and willing to shell out good money. But when looking for the familiar comfort of "home", Aristocrat it is.

Aristocrat Malate: Late-Night Eats After Miss Universe Philippines 2024(with a Side of Service Improvement) My post-Miss Universe Philippines 2024 hunger pangs led me to the familiar comfort of Aristocrat Restaurant in Malate. After a five-hour pageant extravaganza, a delicious late-night meal was much needed. Classic Comfort Never Disappoints: Thankfully, Aristocrat delivered! Their pansit Canton was absolute heaven – a symphony of savory noodles and perfectly cooked vegetables. It's a dish that never disappoints. The Lumpiang Shanghai was another winner, boasting a delightful crispness that satisfied every bite. And let's not forget the chicken in honey – a sweet and savory indulgence that hit the spot perfectly. Room for Improvement: The only area for improvement was the service. Perhaps due to the late hour (graveyard shift!), the staff seemed a bit on the sleepy side. A touch more attentiveness would have elevated the dining experience. Overall: Despite the slightly inattentive service, Aristocrat Malate provided the perfect late-night pick-me-up after a long evening. The classic Filipino dishes were cooked to perfection, offering familiar comfort after the excitement of MUPH 2024. With a bit more pep from the staff, this Aristocrat branch could be an even better late-night dining destination.

Stepping into Aristocrat is akin to a nostalgic journey through my childhood, adorned with cherished memories. As the original branch, it holds a special place in my heart, being a cherished favorite of my family since I was young. Even now, it remains a bustling hub of activity, with diners flocking in every weekend, just as it was back then. Opting for my all-time favorite, the Pork Barbecue, brought back waves of nostalgia. Though slightly smaller in size, its flavor remains unchanged, evoking the same delightful taste I remember from my childhood. The Atchara, while still enjoyable, showed a slight difference in papaya slicing, yet it retained its essence. Quenching my thirst with a classic Sago't Gulaman, I found it leaning towards the sweeter side, easily balanced by a dash of water. And no visit to Aristocrat is complete without indulging in their Torta Delos Reyes from the bakery. Despite my efforts to cut back on sweets, this delectable treat always warrants an exception, given its undeniable deliciousness. Witnessing Aristocrat's enduring success and its status as a beloved Filipino institution since 1939 fills me with immense joy and pride.

The Aristocrat along Roxas Boulevard is an institution in Manila's culinary landscape. Known for its rich history and sumptuous Filipino cuisine, this restaurant offers a dining experience like no other. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a welcoming ambiance that evokes a sense of nostalgia, as though stepping back in time. The food is the star of the show, serving dishes that bring you on a flavorful journey across the archipelago. Their signature Chicken Barbecue is a must-try, perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. And don't even get me started on their Kare-Kare; it's simply divine. Service is top-notch. Staff are attentive without being intrusive, making sure your dining experience is seamless from start to finish. Plus, their location overlooking Manila Bay offers a mesmerizing view, particularly during sunset. Whether you're a local looking for an authentic Filipino meal or a tourist eager to explore Manila's culinary heritage, The Aristocrat will not disappoint. It's more than just a meal; it's an experience that celebrates the very essence of Filipino culture. Highly recommended!

Sep 2024: Service dropped several notches. Maybe there were too many customers but the whole time, we had to ask for utensils, serving spoons, plates, etc. One of the cake desserts we ordered was very dry, almost stale. Maybe it's this branch but I won't likely return anytime soon even for old time's sake. Oct 2023: My good friend craved for this restaurant. It's more nostalgic, I think, than gustatory. On the plus side, their fried chicken (not barbecue) actually tastes good with their special sauce (not Jufran with Worcestershire sauce) and for me, their pancit and other dishes tasted a notch better than that other resto that chicken built. Service was also excellent. However, after eating, we all felt drowsy. The area is also a bit seedy with too many vendors and street dwellers hustling the moment you step out. I'm old enough to remember this restaurant of yore and why it became famous. It's now all in the realm of memories but do come over for old times' sake.

The place has been here for so long so iconic sya and lots of people come here. One of the reasons long standing sila is the food is actually good, menu is small compared to other restos but I get why so you can preserve the quality/recipe. Bbq chicken is a must try it even came with a peanuty like sauce. Only downside is the service and how fast the food will be delivered to your table. Ordered spare ribs and it was a bit cold by the time I ate it. A bit disappointing since my bf's parents recommended this place to us for our dinner date. Oh and the ice cream, the moment I saw it I knew it wasn't of their own making it's just store bought icecream from the grocery, lowkey wish it was stated nlng yung brand ng icecream unless they often change flavors/brand. I'd definitely come back on a different time/day when the place isn't almost full. Plus curious to try their beef dinuguan Their bakery closes at 10pm, missed the chance to buy carrot cake.
