Incredible piece of architecture. Incredible interiors - not a thing i usually see. You can really say that there's an architect who worked on in here. Art appreciation. Filipino paintings. Exhibits. Ballets. Orchestra. The red floor carpet all throughout is a pleasure to walk into! The comfort rooms are clean. It's so quiet inside, and along with the collection of arts inside, that it makes the interior so "holy" or "creepy" and I think that's cool because this experience is really meant to touch your soul, consciousness. The miniature of the who complex is nice as well. I have always thought this place to be exclusive to elite people. But after stepping up the stairs and going thru the door, my perception changed; the place welcoming to everyone!

I recently visited the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in Manila, although I only had the chance to see the exterior. Even so, it was a memorable experience. The building is a stunning example of brutalist architecture, with its massive concrete structure and unique, bold design. It stands out in the cityscape, making a strong visual impression. The area around the CCP is beautifully maintained, with open spaces and gardens that make for a relaxing walk. Even without stepping inside, the architecture alone is worth the visit. The CCP’s impressive design and the serene surroundings create a great atmosphere. I can't wait to return and explore the cultural and artistic offerings inside the building.

This building holds most of the cultural shows in Manila, however some diverted to hotels perhaps due to their wider theater areas. I used to watched the Darna in Ballet in one of the theater in this bulding. In this place also housed the Miss Saigon way back 2000. And indeed and very good experienced. I love the fountain and it's different lights adorning CCP at night and during gala night. It gives life to the building. LIKES: main Theater area, galeries and shows being offered sometimes for free DISLIKES: limited parking space

I love attending the Pasinaya festival (CCP Open house) with workshops on the first day and shows on the following day/s. There are plenty of students in groups lining up so it's worth getting a fast pass. No need to fall in line to gain entry. Consider it a donation for the CCP employees who work so hard all year round.

I also go here for the Cinemalaya film festival, aside from UPFI. After watching films, you may check out current exhibitions and drop by the museum shop where they have DVDs of classic Filipino films, art books, and other merchandise. My favorite buy is the "Tuklas Sining" which contains essays on Filipino music, visual art, theater, architecture, film, literature, and dance. An informative overview, and good addition to any library. I remember one of the essays therein was assigned reading back in college.

If you're into continuous learning, they have arts education and audience development programs. And if you fancy being a patron of the arts, you may contribute individually for a minimum of P1,000 by becoming a CCP member, or urge your company to make a corporate donation (min P50,000).

The CCP is also a good spot to be at during golden hour to witness the beautiful Manila...

I wish I had the option for 0 Stars. I was really excited to have a wedding reception here with my family. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and excited for me when I came to tour the ballroom. When I came to pay the full amount for the ballroom, the gentleman kept making rude, unnecessary comments, for example "I'm so happy you are not my daughter, you're so expensive and the only thing I would do is put you to work here" The whole time I was trying to go over the contract and the plans for the night of reception, he kept making unnecessary, negative comments about me. It was worse, when we had to prepare that day! We had it on a Sunday, but I couldn't decorate the ballroom until 1 pm. It's already stressful as it is preparing for a big night with 250 guests arriving at 5-6 pm! We had reserved the ice machine- didn't work. Had to take people from decorating to buy ice, which costed me more money. You think you're going to get these nice "Conference room A or B that you reserved, nope you get shoved to a tiny dressing room in the back behind the curtains of the ballroom. The supervisor was breathing down everyone's neck and couldn't do this or that! So be carefully if you choose to reserve...

It's always refreshing to chance upon free shows, exhibits, launches, conferences, fora, lectures, recitals, performances, movies, and artworks in this home away from home when you happen to be coming from the breakwaters of Roxas Boulevard, the shops of Harrison Plaza, the restos of Harbour Square, the trade fairs of WTC, and the rides of Star City.

This is one place where you can enjoy art at its finest for free or for a fee to spend your time surrounded with Philippine arts and culture.

They have art showd all year round on all floors on top of their permanent exhibits and a free library. You may check their free program brochure for their monthly schedules of public and free, invitational, and ticketed events.

Best for students, teachers, families, art aficionados, and cultural workers to have First-timers with...
