A beatiful residence converted into a restaurant and bar along the same street as San Miguel Gate of Malacan̈ang Palace and National Shrine of Saint Michael and the Archangels.
We went there for dinner. The ambiance was nice, lighting was intimate but not very dark so just perfect for dining and photos. Smooth jazz music, i think, added some class. Beautiful wooden furniture helps keep the place feel warm and inviting. Feels more an appropriate setting for formal dining, but casual wear is allowed.
A beautiful roofed al fresco dining area is available at the rear portion of the property. However, note that the property is along or near the shore of Pasig River.
Service was great! Skilled staff are professional but are friendly, engaged, and have good sense of humor. Service Cjarge is 10% I think, but don't hesitate to tip.
Food was delicious, but:
Emilia, house of Filipino food is a restaurant that truly stands out. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is modern and stylish, yet still manages to capture the essence of Filipino culture.
The menu at Emilia is a true delight, offering a wide range of traditional Filipino dishes that are prepared with care and attention to detail. Whether you're in the mood for classic Filipino comfort food like adobo or pancit, or something a little more adventurous like sisig or lechon kawali, you are sure to find something that will tantalize your taste buds.
One standout dish at Emilia is the kare-kare, a stew made with oxtail, tripe, and vegetables in a peanut sauce. The flavors are rich and complex, and the dish is served with a side of bagoong (shrimp paste) that adds the perfect salty kick. Another must-try dish is the crispy pata, a deep-fried pork leg that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
The service at Emilia is also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu. The restaurant is also very clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
Overall, Emilia, house of Filipino food is a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Filipino cuisine. The food, atmosphere, and service are all exceptional, and it truly is a gem in the world of Filipino...
Read moreThis place is highly recommended, in my opinion. Beautiful ambiance, service is great, and food is definitely one of the best I have ever had. 10/10 would come back again.
The food here was one of the most delectable meals I have ever had. We came here to try out some local cuisine for our lunch (The food looked and smelled absolutely fantastic that we forgot to take a photo). We ordered the lumpia and chopseuy for the vegetables, crispy pata for the main meal, and halo halo and turon for desert. Everything was scrumptious. The crispy pata was perfectly cooked -really crunchy skin but melts-in-your-mouth meat. Halo-halo and turon weren't overly sweet. I love that the food just tasted the way it should be and not mixed with a lot of other stuff in an attempt to "modernize" local cuisine.
We had a reservation elsewhere for dinner but we knew we had to go back. This time, we remembered to take photos. Our server from our lunch served us again and we asked him for recommendations. He told us to try the seafood paella and spareribs in Jack Daniels sauce. We ordered the lumpia again for appetizer/veggies and shared a sangria. All we can say is that the food recommendation was one of the best. Hats off to our server that day and night. The food as always was absolutely fantastic. The spare ribs was juicy and the paella did not have that overpowering flavour. It was a...
