Mood & Coffee - UST Dapitan — Restaurant in Manila

I visited this branch twice - two days in a row. On the first day, it was okay for the price, although my friend mentioned his Americano had a burnt aftertaste. I had a French Vanilla, which was fine… nothing special, but acceptable for the price.

On the second day around 10:40 am (which will also be my LAST), I ordered the same drink, my friends ordered Mood coffee and Signature Cacao. But we wanted none of it in the end. What really ruined the experience were the staff members. We were the only customers (a group of three), yet the three staff members took a long time to prepare our drinks. They were hysterically laughing the entire time, loudly joking about something we didn’t understand. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Even worse, they were talking and laughing while preparing food and drinks… without wearing masks or gloves. All I could think about was the saliva flying into my coffee. I was so close to canceling my order because I couldn’t stomach the thought of drinking it.

I've been going to Mood & Coffee Dapitan since their soft opening and I love their coffee. They have been consistent with the taste, even if it's peak hours. However, every time I go there, the baristas' and cashiers' voices are louder than the customers and the music combined. I understand they're trying to pass time, especially if there are few customers, but my god. Kulang na lang magsigawan sila. They're talking over the music and it gets irritating kasi you wanna enjoy the music they're playing but also their voices are LOUDER than the music. On top of that, nagmumura sila! I think Mood & Coffee needs to train their staff again because what is this? They are so unprofessional. Nakakawalang gana mag-aral at mag-kape sa ingay nila.
