Bungalow cafe and bakery Not Bunging!
June 12 2023 12-1pm Molito
I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, BECAUSE NO ONE WILL.
I usually separate my dessert with my meals. I had earlier brunch.
I went inside, it was full. I asked the waiter for one please. Non yet inside he said, no name tag so i can't say who. Would you like outside, i said it's too warm. He went a stroll, voila a empty seat. He sat me and i asked for menu.
He gave me a short and long menus. Another lady came and gave me water, i asked her can i see the bakery menu and he pointed me the end of the shop where the display cabinet where. Made up my mind and sat
She came and i ordered dark cold brew, Belgian chocolate cake and cinnamon roll. I told her don't warm the roll. Ordered came.
The "dark cold brew" came first. Don't deceive your customer please! It was iced Americano! Because it came warm in the glass with iced cold water and espresso. I won't discuss to you the science, por favor! Then came the slice of cake, unfortunately it was dry and crumbly and falls on the fork. The Belgian chocolate, i dont taste it, what's prominent was the caramel layer. Then i went to the roll. Horrible! It was stale or old bread! That's why i ordered black coffee to enhance some flavor, again i won't say the science but you would know the quality of bake goods with it.
As it was summer still, i was looking at the bar, i would like some rosé or pink moscato. What caught my attention was the staffs are looking at guests [not sure of some are celebrities] amd they arw laughing and gossiping! To my mind not good behavior and values! As they are cramping on the bar, i noticed also the wait staffs are not smiling and warm then i took a glance at the main door i saw that it starts at 7am. Hmmm... I'm scared for the next 15 hours for the rest of the...
Read moreI have nothing but a negative review about this place, it’s nothing more than an overhyped, poor imitation of Wildflour Cafe, which it could never live up to. From the moment we walked in the vibe was off. The staff were incredibly rude and unattentive, and it seemed like they were more interested in catering to the rich patrons than serving regular customers. It was obvious that they were profiling us which made the experience even worse.
We waited in line for what felt like forever, but it was the damn line for the bakery area after all. And when we finally found a table to sit at, the staff had the audacity to get mad at us. Apparently, we weren't supposed to sit until after we ordered from their menu and not from the bakery, but how were we supposed to know? The entire setup is confusing, and there was no manager or staff to guide us through the process. It was a mess.
The owner and managers are just as incompetent as their employees. They clearly have no clue how to run a cafe efficiently. This place desperately needs to fix its flawed system and treat all customers equally, not just the wealthy.
And lastly to the owner of this cafe, you really shouldn’t underestimate your customers based on their appearance. Someday, this will definitely come back to bite you—especially when those customers happen to be high-profile, prominent, and influential figures that are quite low key. Remember that exclusive villages such as Ayala Alabang and to name a few are around the block. Hence, words spread fast. Karma has a funny way of working.
Lastly we won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their time...
Read moreThis used to be a go-to spot in Molito—perhaps even in all of Alabang—but unfortunately, it’s been on a steady decline for a long time now. While the food remains decent, the service has deteriorated significantly, and the overall vibe of the place feels tired and neglected. Even their physical menus are stained and worn out.
It took them nearly 20 minutes to serve a simple cup of coffee—and the place was practically empty. There were maybe two other tables, and one of them had just walked in and hadn’t even ordered yet.
Meanwhile, there were about 10 staff behind the counter, most of them not doing anything. A few were just scrolling on their phones.
When we asked for the bill, it took over 10 minutes just for them to bring it out. The server said he’d be back with the card terminal—but he never came back. We eventually got tired of waiting, stood up, and went to the counter ourselves. The terminal was just sitting there the whole time. The payment took less than a minute. Total waste of time.
From this experience, it felt like the staff were intentionally dragging their feet with everything we asked for—from the coffee to the bill. On top of that, barely any servers were actually around or checking in on us. Most of them just tucked behind the counter the whole time, as...
