It’s hard to find good and authentic Indian restaurants. Mantra is very promising with a wide range of curries to choose from. We had a classic mutton curry with buttered roti. The mutton is so tender that the meat just falls off the bone. The lassi was too tart for my taste. The roti was very good - 1 pc for P100 and that’s all I needed to fill me up. The space and service were excellent. I especially took note that they had cloth napkins. I really find it insulting when expensive restaurants give you paper napkins.
The only disappointing part was the Green Salad in the menu. It came in a plate of 5 slices of tomatoes, 5 slices of carrot, 5 slices of cucumber, 5 slices of onion, 1 big chili pepper all presented in a row with pepper on top - no dressing included. Why would I order something I can easily do (or simply slice) myself??? I was so confused when it came to our table. I would have given this new restaurant a 5-star if not for this sliced pieces of vegetables they call,...
Read moreIt was my first time dining in an Indian restaurant since the start of the pandemic, so before going here, I was really anticipating. Good thing, Mantra delivered! I had a pleasant and satisfying stay.
Going in, I was surprised to see the place jam-packed. Initially, it gave me a great impression. We had to wait a little for a table to become available.
The flavors were fire! Every bite tasted authentic, and the serving’s huge (which could either be a good or a bad thing).
This Mantra branch has been operating for five months as of November 2022. Prior to the restaurant’s existence in Alabang, Molito has already been offering diverse cuisine options, but I’m glad they landed here.
They also have a bar serving cocktails and other poisons worth trying. The prices are reasonable, too.

Read moreTerribly slow service. We waited for almost an hour for our food. Gave stars for the food and kind waiters.
We ate here on a weekday around 7pm dinner time. There was just a big group beside us but no one else. We ordered samosas, garlic naan, saffron rice, mix grilled meat, and chicken tikka masala. After waiting for 40-50 mins, there was still no food. The appetizers were not even served. Very very slow service. After following up, only the grilled meat came but no rice or naan. The samosas came a few minutes after. When we finished those, it took another 10-20 mins for the other food to arrive with the rice and naan.
The food tasted great but it took forever to serve. We noticed after we complained, the customers who came after us got food ahead and were served quickly.
Will just eat in their makati branch till they fix...
