Cafe Mediterranean Unflavors of the sun June 12 2023 Molito 11-12nn
I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, BECAUSE NO ONE WILL
I ordered 7 layered dip with pita crisp,a lamb gyro plate and plaim lassi. Ceejay was my wait staff, warm and smiling. He asked would you like a pita or you may choose other sides, i asked which you recommend the Moroccan pilaf or biryani? He said biryani, it's our best seller, ok let's go for that i said
I asked him is kebab platter too much, he politely said it is for three to four person. I said i will go nect time with four. Rushed away and put my order. I asked for ice cold water and hot sauce. He gave me those and garlic sauce.
Came plain lassi. To my surprise it's blended iced yogurt! Well more ice and powdered yogurt, next the 7 layered dip. To my surprise it was unflavored and under seasoned! I need to put garlic sauce and hot sauce just to enhance the flavours. After awhile came the plate. Hmm I'm worried already! It came smaller than i thought, the lamb was not seasoned and the meat is grainy and gritty. I thought cheap cuts! The tzatziki was watery, and just about 1.5 tbsp only. The moutabal is same amount, no flavors of tahini and garlic. The tabouleh was dry no flavors of lemon and olive oil. The biryani unseasoned.

Read moreCafe Mediterranean has been in the Alabang area since the early days of Alabang Town Center, providing Med fare that's satisfying and reasonably priced. Mediterranean food can be an acquired taste, but Cafe Med has their recipes adjusted to the local clientele. One gripe I have from my latest visit is their house hot sauce. In years past, just a drop of this hot sauce was enough to set your mouth aflame. I had gone in fully intending to take home a container or two of that hot sauce, but for some reason, they've weakened it so much that it's become a slightly mild hot sauce.
Otherwise, I had a decent experience and it's a place I would not strike from my list of options when I'm looking for...
Read moreWe usually dine at Cafe Mediterranean (Molito) with our 5yo daughter. Most of the time she brings some of her toys or coloring books when we eat out to keep herself busy while waiting for the food. However, when we dine in there on Sept. 13, we didn’t bring any of her toys or coloring books. We asked Anthony, one of the staff, if they have any crayons, and he said none, which was totally fine. When my husband and daughter was about to go outside for a walk, Anthony approached them and gave some crayons and papers to my daughter. My daughter was very happy, as well as my husband and I. In return, our daughter drew something for Anthony as her way of saying how thankful she was for what Anthony did. Thank you Anthony and to all the staff and chefs of Cafe Mediterranean, you made our tummies and...
