The crew made me feel very disrespected. We made reservations here at 5pm, unfortunately the area provided on the first floor was uncomfortable. We asked to be moved and they said the table upstairs was free at the moment but there was reservation for it at 7pm. We agreed that we'll leave before 7pm. We ordered our food and we were in the middle of eating when at 5:45pm we were informed that one person from the the people who made reservations at 7pm was already there. We said we'll be finished before 7pm, but Hazel insisted we moved. We said we agreed when we were seated in that area that we'll move at 7pm. At 5:50pm another crew (a man) came over to make us leave the table again. We said the agreement was we'll be done and leave at 7pm, and we had more than an hour before 7pm. And gave them feedback that they are handling the situation in a very bad way, because there are 7 of us already eating being asked to move meanwhile a 'sir Dan' from the 7pm reservation arrived earlier that their agreed reservation. They left us for a bit but at 6:30pm, shortly after we have asked for the bill and paying, Hazel returned to our table to announce that the group who made reservations at 7pm was complete, and we were made to feel less preferred than the new group and quite honestly disrespected. We gave Hazel that feedback and she said 'wait a minute' and left. My sister made a reservation at this restaurant for seven pax at 5 pm. It was chilly at our table, so we requested to be transferred to another table. We chose a table on the second floor, and they informed us they had a 7 pm reservation for that particular spot. A few minutes later, the waiter was back to tell us that the table was reserved not at 8 but 7 pm. We reassured him that we would vacate the table by 7 pm. We proceeded to give our orders to our waiter.
In the middle of our meal, at exactly 5:47, the waiter told us that one of the group members who reserved a table at 7 pm was already there at the restaurant. We complained, and so the waiter left. A few minutes later, another waiter approached our table and indirectly asked us if we could transfer to another table. We refused to move.
At around 6:30 pm, we were already wrapping up and finishing the rest of our drink. Waitress Hazel approached our table and informed us that the group who reserved the table at 7 pm was already complaining.
We were annoyed by how the servers handled the situation. I'm unsure if this is because of a lack of training or if they were inconsiderate. Delicious, flavors with depth, soft balanced with crunchy, and portions were ideal (not too big or too little). The cocktails are prepared by Maestro, a magician who knows his potions to please the palate of his patrons. Abbey (charming & hip) created a drink fr scratch based on what I liked (using 3 words) and it was SUPERB. (It is no wonder one of their drinks won in a competition.) And the dessert, so-help-me-God, was addictively scrumptious. It is the Ferrero Loukoumades -- it has the prettiest yellow edible flowers on it, mint leaves and ice cream that does not taste like it just came fr your supermarket. Makes me want to name my child this dessert (ok, my fur baby, if I had one). And to top it off, the service was on point (warm & attentive) and the ambiance has the NYC-vibe my family likes and is used to.
