Part 1 of 2 Crimson claims to be a 5-star hotel as written on their homepage. So when we came, I had my expectations. I expected the hotel to be clean, aesthetics to be quite modern, service to be on topnotch. When we arrived, there were 3 people at the ground floor lobby. None of them bothered to help us with our luggage. Not sure of they did not see us because 2 of them were busy using their phone. I faced those two and they didn't even lift their heads to say good evening, not even look at me. Perhaps the third person (standing by the scanning machine) at the lobby noticed, and he approached us. He gave us a card stating the number of our luggage and told us to proceed at the 8th floor. Ok no problem. Headed there, lobby was promising. It was huge! I spoke with the concierge who told me that she needs to hold the amount of room charges + deposit amount on my credit card. When I asked why she needed the room charges even though I already paid the amount beforehand she seemed pretty sure that I have not paid it yet. She told me that it was not deducted yet from my credit card. I wanted to show her that it was deducted but still she insisted. Ok...right then I'm still tired from the plane travel and I was sure my husband and our 2-year old are tired as well so I just let her hold Php 16,000+ on my credit card. Thought I'll rest up first and check it later. I signed the paper she handed and got our keycards. On our way to our room, I noticed that the hallway looks quite eerie and outdated. True enough, the room we're in, Rm 1901, is outdated as well. Beige wall paper that's starting to peel-off, dark brown furniture and interior details. It was not as welcoming as I thought it would be. Anyway, I immediately called concierge as they did not provide the baby cot I requested. The concierge confirmed that she'll ask housekeeping to arrange it. Housekeeping came and brought us a baby blanket, I told him we need the crib as well. He seemed confused but told me that he'll get back. After an hour, still no crib. Even my sister who was there at the moment called the concierge and followed up. She said that she already asked housekeeping and the cot will be in our room shortly. 30 minutes and still no cot. Honestly I was already displeased. They did not manage to arrange a cot for our child nor where they keen on calling us and telling us what's exactly happening. I called the concierge again and asked if they really have a cot just so I can manage my expectations. She said, yes, they have a cot. Told her that we need to sleep soon (it was almost 1030pm) and our kid is getting fuzzy. I said ok and that we'll wait. 5 minutes later while I was in the bathroom, they finally delivered the cot. Finally! We can all rest. Going back about the room, the bathroom is dirty. In a way that it was not maintained well. The tiles have stains, the corners of the shower area including the glass partition have dirt stuck on them. Pretty sure the whole room looked better before. Another disappointment is when my husband found out that there's no warm water in the shower. He was the first one to shower in the morning and came out and was shocked why was there no warm water at all. I didn't believe him at first so I checked. Tried waiting and rotating the handle to the left, no warm water. Rotated it to the right, waited a few minutes, no warm water. Why? I needed to shower so I braved the cold water and took a quick shower. The saddest part was when it was our kid's turn. Me and my husband needed to hold him steady and he was crying the whole time he was showering, he's not used to cold showers. After the grueling shower, we dressed up and headed to the lobby first and told them about the warm water. The one at the reception that maintenance will check it. Ok, no problem. Breakfast overall was mediocre. My sister and her husband came that morning to join us for breakfast, they paid Php 900 each...

Checked in at 330pm but the other room was not ready yet. Waited for about an hour and rang reception only to be told that it isnt ready still. Went down to talk to them around 6pm and that was the only time they checked us in. Lady apologised and I asked her if we can check out late to make up for the 3 hrs delay but said straight up that we cant because it's fully booked! Rang again later that night to see if we can be accommodated for late check out but still no avail. Unbelievable! They can take your hours away and just say sorry but they aren't willing to make up for the inconvenience they have caused! To think I paid for extra to avail of their 10 yr anniversary package which can let you check out til 4pm(ofc they would say subject to room availability to cover them). But no, it didnt happen.
Prior to booking in, I've read google reviews and was really hoping for a 4.6 star experience. The reason I am doing this is not to shame the hotel but hope that they will use my feedback to better their service.
But as a guest, please do not expect too much from the rooms or even from their service. They are outdated. If you are looking for 5 star service, you won't find it here.
I have booked in a "10 year anniversary package" as what they call it with so many inclusions, but I tell you, we didnt get to experience them all.
*The package includes buffet for 2 adults per room (4 adults for 2 rooms), I've booked 6 adults for breakfast so I paid extra for 2 adults but only 5 guests stayed in the room. I told the staff at Cafe Eight but said I cant refund the other guest. Imagine having to pay for something you didn't use at all! And no, it wasn't part of the package.
*The lists says Complimentary welcome minibar but the mini bar was empty. Scam.
*Courtesy upgrade to the next room category up to Executive Club Room- nope! No upgrade and very late check in with just sorry.
*10% discount on all Crimson's Food & Beverage outlets except Alibi Lounge. -ate at the pool, and had dinner buffet at Cafe Eight but paid full price!! No discount at all!
It is very bad marketing to put all these inclusions and do not offer them to guests when they check in. It feels like you've been robbed, to be honest. You get promised of all these things and pay premium but when youre there, you are just a number to them. I am sorry I have really expected too much from this hotel and I wish I can say good things but for the price I've paid and for the Crimson reputation I was expecting, I think we deserve more.
The only good thing about our stay was I get to spend my birthday with my family, good internet connection, good variety of breakfast buffet (dinner buffet at Php1500 was meh, can be better), nice pool area but pool water is cold even during day time. That's it. I dont think I will ever...

Arrived at 2:30PM, 30 minutes prior to our check-in time but there was a long line in the reception. We spent 30-40 minutes just to check in. No one assisted us with our luggage.
The one-time 3-piece complimentary minibar is not in our room yet. Had to follow up to the operator TWICE. When it arrived, it was just 3 pieces soda in can, contrary to 3 pieces of pastry as advertised.
Only had ONE glass in our room. Complimentary coffee provided is the Nescafe sticks worth P3.00. Bathroom tissue is one-ply only.
The Premier Room has a side table and office chair in the website and social media pictures. When we arrived, it's not there. No bolster pillow too. Had to ask the reception why and they said they will follow up with their housekeeping staff. Side table came. The office chair was just given to my husband by the door, they didn't even bother to put the chair inside themselves. WHY DO WE HAVE TO ASK FOR THE FURNITURES THAT ARE SUPPOSEDLY IN THE ROOM ALREADY?
The used plates during breakfast was not cleared in most tables including ours. Had to call the staffs' attention to clear it.
Requested an omelette at the egg station. Omelette came, with ONE PIECE tomato, 3 SLICES OF ONION and NOTHING ELSE. Not an omelette, in my opinion.
Men's restroom in the ground floor has an UNFLUSHED POOP and no one bothered to clean it.
Now the most frustrating. The EXECUTIVE LOUNGE. First, it's hot inside. Second, went there at 2PM but THERE IS NOT A SINGLE FOOD there, NOTHING but peanuts, almost empty cookie jar, one piece of orange, almost empty mango juice jar without ice and an empty water jug. No bar attendant in sight. Stayed there for another hour but no refills were made. Frustrated, we went back to our room and waited for the cocktail hour. Lastly, went back up again to check if they refilled it. The Chicken Yakitori and juices were never refilled. Too bad I don't have any picture.
Used plates with food remains that were left, by some guests I'm assuming, in our floor's hallway. We saw it when we came back from breakfast. 4:30 PM came and it's still there, already with ants.
Hot water water supply was interrupted from 2pm to 8pm.
Housekeeping left their cleaning supplies in our room. Called frontdesk at 7PM, took a few minutes before they answered the call.
Check-in is 3PM, which is late compared to other hotels but what's even more frustrating is the check-out time of 11AM, which is earlier than other hotels. Requested for a late checkout for all the inconveniences we experienced, guess what, we were only allowed to check out at 12pm, which is the standard checkout time in other five star, heck, actually almost all hotels.
Summary: We didn't get what we paid for. While staffs are not rude, they are very unattentive to guests' needs and seems like they lack training. Better go to Vivere or Acacia where you will be...
