We ate here yesterday to celebrate my wife's birthday. Happy to have been able to use the 1+1 birthday promo.
The service was really good. From the reception to the waiters being attentive, but the chefs/cooks weren't all that at all.
Since it was a Sunday lunch, it was super busy and to be honest, the food was not up to par.
Most of the foods were displayed since 10am, and never replaced. To be honest, I had a stomach ache from one of the dishes -- that meat pie with mashed potato on top? Don't eat that thing.
Carving station was not generous. Falling in line for 5 minutes to receive 3 overcooked pieces of meat is really not good. It was as it seems the cook was not happy with what he was doing. (Nakasimangot).
Peking Duck station was empty since we got in at 11:30am until we left at 1:30pm. Maybe because it's a high value item so they never bothered to refill.
The sushi station was disappointing. Tempura station was always empty (I had to complain to receive shrimp tempura from that station). They mostly cook veggie tempura or eggplant tempura.
Pizzas were undercooked and dry. (Again, parang nagmamadali).
Dimsum station was a mess. And to be honest, raw yung iba. (Not properly steamed).
Lastly, their headchef keeps blocking the way of customers. Always hanging out at the reception area with the lady receptionists. (Medyo papansin).
I am not a hater of Viking's, but this experience was really disappointing. Hopefully, management sees this and takes action. I'm sure you don't want to be like Buffet 101 or Yakimix? You know...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Vikings Luxury Buffet at SM City Pampanga, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences.
The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the meal. The staff was courteous and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our visit.
I particularly enjoyed the assortment of fresh seafood, succulent meats, and mouthwatering desserts. The sushi station and the dessert spread were definite highlights, offering a diverse selection of delectable treats.
The presentation of the food was impressive, adding to the overall appeal of the dining experience. The buffet maintained a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, which was reassuring, especially during these times.
While the majority of the dishes were excellent, I believe there is still room for improvement in some areas. Some of the dishes lacked the desired flavor and could benefit from a bit more seasoning or variety. My Wife said that the pork was a little bit to oily.
Overall, Vikings Luxury Buffet - SM City Pampanga is a great place to indulge in an array of culinary delights. With its extensive selection and warm ambiance, it's a worthwhile choice for family gatherings or special occasions. With a few tweaks, it has the potential to become a...
Read moreNice staff and good food. Not too crowded and they are still open for reservations. They had a marked down price for dinner buffet. Before I think it was 998 now it's 799 plus 5% service charge. They have new protocols with getting food. You can point the food that you want then they'll give it to you while for the pasta and noodle bar you need to give them your table number and they'll serve it at your table. Few remarks during our visit: food was kinda bland for other menu (or maybe I just have high tolerance for saltiness). The herb chicken not so savory and kind of undercooked, same goes with the noodle broth and sauces it lacks flavor. Perhaps there are condiments available upon request which I didn't try. I really liked the truffle pizza and the appetizers. There are choices of chinese cooking. Fresh fruits and desserts are awesome especially the coffee jello tho they had limited flavors at the ice cream bar. Kapampangan food still available. Crew members are courteous. Overall, customer service is great. I had a great fill but flavor wise I'd...
