Panglao Alona Suites — Hotel in Panglao

Price is good for the rooms.

Overheard people at the concierge complaining when I was waiting for my check out. They said that they did not like the hotel because it is not beachfront and other things that are supposed to be in the room but are not provided. To be fair, they do not have kettles or other stuff. BUT that is OK for me because the Hotel does advertise what they HAVE and those are seen and complete. Needless to say, they dont advertise what they do not have. It is a matter of reading and knowing what you are booking. Complaining after seems unfair to them. I guess the ones who complained are just locals. I mean come on. They expect a beachfront hotel at this price? Outrageous.

The young male manager and the receptionist handled the complaint professionally though. If it was me I wouldve said the same things here in my review.

Hoping to...

I have to recommend the service this hotel has provided me and my partner. From our entry into the Reception, during our stay, our meals, until our check out day, the staff were very welcoming and the facilities they offer are within reason of the price they have set.

I have read reviews from this hotel before I decided to check in here and there were a few nasty comments and I decided to try it out myself. In my opinion, those nasty comments are from people who are entitled to be given world class treatment just for the sake that they paid for their stay. Prices here are reasonable for the service that they give you. While it may not be perfect, but they do provide the essential needs for comfort and rest. Hence my experience here was positive contrary to the review of others.

Rude employees. They don't even greet you upon entering. We had to walk-in at 8pm to book 2 rooms because of the typhoon Kristine and the staff refused to accommodate us saying they are full eventhough their online site says otherwise. So we booked the rooms online, outside the building in the middle of the rain. Not to mention my wife is pregnant. When we came back, the receptionist Claire, was frowning when she learned we were able to book the rooms.

Actually, a lot of rooms were empty or have no guests.

We checked out of our rooms 10mins before the checkout time (11:00am) and the cleaner was impatiently waiting outside the rooms and even made a sarcastic remark...
