Enjoyed the food (and our company) so much that I forgot to take pictures!
Was visiting Bohol the first time and felt eating a good wood fired Pizza after tiring of hotel food. Our friends who were also in Bohol recommended Giuseppe's. It was only a short hop by tricycle from the Bohol Beach Club so we decided to meet up there for dinner.
I was planning to do a review so I started taking pictures, including their wood fired oven! Place was not busy when went on a Tuesday at 6pm, so we were shown to the private room next to the entrance with the full glass wall, which feels a bit like chef's room with all the wine, olive oil and other ingredients for making Italian food.
Menu has many Italian staples, but I went for a pizza. I really like wood fired thin crust Italian ones, so I ordered a Quatro Stagioni and my kids picked the Diavoli. Both pizzas were flavorful, with crispy crust and deliciously melted cheese. The kids also ordered the Risotto Marinara, which looked nice and creamy without being watery, but the kids finished it off before I could get a taste. My wife had the fish soup, which was tomato based with pieces of fish, squid and clams. She also finished it before I could taste it and said it was good. ;) We also had the Carpaccio Di Manzo. The beef was well flavor with a nice bed of lettuce, topped by cheese and balsamic vinegar. For dessert we tried the Mango Panna Cotta, Tortino Di Cioccolata and Tiramisu. All three were delicious and light. After all that food we were stuffed!
Unfortunately I was enjoying the meal and talking to our friends (joined us later) that I forgot to take more pictures. I wish we had more time in Panglao to try more of the menu. But if you are in the area please try...
Read moreDuring my recent stay in Bohol, I had the pleasure of dining at Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast, and I must say it was an unforgettable culinary experience. Despite the plethora of restaurants along Alona Beach, I found myself returning to Giuseppe multiple times during my 7-night holiday, a testament to the exceptional quality of their food.
Giuseppe's pizza and pasta dishes were simply outstanding - authentic, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The value for money of their offerings was truly remarkable, surpassing that of many other establishments in the area. The pizzas were particularly noteworthy, boasting a level of authenticity and taste that I had not experienced elsewhere.
In addition to the delectable cuisine, the prices of the alcohol beverages were reasonable, adding to the overall appeal of the dining experience.
However, what truly set Giuseppe apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly a waitress who left a lasting impression on me. Her warmth, patience, kindness, and friendliness elevated my dining experience to new heights, and I regret not being able to recall her name to give her the recognition she deserves. She was truly amazing and exemplified an outstanding hospitality.
Overall, my time at Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the exceptional food, drinks, and service that surpassed my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Giuseppe to anyone visiting Bohol for an unforgettable dining experience that combines authenticity, quality, and...

The food was good enough. For starter we ordered the aubergine with cheese which was lovely and the focaccia (which wasn't focaccia but pizza base with cheese on top - it wasn't great so I wouldn't recommend it). For mains we ordered the vegetarian pizza to share which was nice.
The service isn't great as the staff do not really look bothered and they also don't approach the customers. I had to get up twice to ask to be served and pick up the pepper grinder. It would be great if they get some extra training for customer service because from an overall observation the other customers didn't look very impressed with the service either. A service charge was added to our bill which I didn't want to pay as I thought the customer service of the staff didn't deserve any tipping.
Also the lady that served most customers (including us) had a cold. I do understand it's not always possible to cover someone else's shift when a staff member is ill but when it comes to catering/hospitality you shouldn't work with a cold as you are handling...
