Great Quality Filipino Food, Just Wish the Servings Were Bigger…
We visited Mangan Restaurant at Ayala Malls Manila Bay for some classic Filipino comfort food, and overall, it was a solid experience.
The Baby Pusit was fresh and well-seasoned definitely one of our favorites from the meal. The Kare-kare was another standout: rich, nutty, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best we’ve had in a while!
The okoy was just average crispy, but the flavor didn’t quite pop. As for dessert, the puto bumbong and halo-halo were both traditional and decent, but nothing particularly special.
One thing to note: while the quality of the food is definitely there, serving sizes were on the smaller side considering the price. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re coming in really hungry or dining with a group.
Service was friendly and the atmosphere felt true to the Filipino dining experience casual, clean, and welcoming.
All in all, Mangan is a good spot for quality Filipino dishes. If they bump up the portion sizes a bit, it would be an even stronger...
Read moreWe came here with friends last Monday and it was understandably not crowded. We sat at the far right of the resto because we knew we were going to be extra loud. Turnaround time was about 20 minutes which was okay. The manager came to inform us that we could avail of the free 1.5 Pepsi for ordering above PHP 1500, which we gladly took. The crew was attentive to our additional requests (extra water, ice, reheating the bibingka etc.), since we were there for three hours..we appreciated the ambience, and the food for its portion and above average taste in our opinion. We particularly liked the okoy for its crispiness, and the...
Read moreIt was my first time trying a Kapampangan restaurant in the metro, and I totally loved everything about it!
Mangan has a huge range of menu dishes, from full meals and appetiser to drinks and fruit shakes. You might spend more time choosing what to eat than waiting for the food! Haha, I’m half kidding.😅
We ordered dinuguan, sisig, ensaladang talong, anf a pitcher of watermelon lemonade. Everything tasted heavenly (I’m not a sisig person but I liked their version!). I wish I have more space in my tummy so I can try other options, too. The photos on their menu were really appetizing! I wish more branches for this restaurant.
This is probably my most favorite Filipino restaurant to...
