My family and I tried their 2 locations: first one was in Arcovia Pasig; everything was very good, especially the steaks. All of them were cooked according to our preferred doneness. The steaks were juicy and almost melt in your mouth tender, and the sides were of generous serving size. I was so proud to introduce this place to my niece and her boyfriend because they're steak lovers. Now, the other location we visited was the one inside Conrad Hotel. I was so excited to bring my 4 other nieces and nephews this time because it's their very first experience to try Texas Roadhouse. All six of us placed our orders, and we were given the delicious bread and butter starter while waiting for our orders. After some time, our server came back to inform us that they're out of potatoes so they can't make the baked potatoes we wanted. Instead, they're giving us mashed potatoes. So, we said okay coz what can we do? We're thinking those juicy steaks will make up for the missing baked potatoes. The manager came over to apologize and explain to us what happened. But here's the thing, were they not supposed to have an estimate of how much they would need to stock on their supplies, especially on a weekend? So again we just waited for the steaks to be served anticipating for the best inspite of the whatnots. Guess what? My husband and I were so disappointed at the steaks they served us; they were gummy, not the melt in your mouth tender kind. It was like chewing a gum that never dissolves; chewing to no end. I'd understand if it was just one steak but man, all the steaks we ordered were all like that. We called the attention of the manager and told him politely we were not satisfied with how everything that we ordered did not meet our expectations. That we are disappointed in behalf of our first-timer nephews and nieces because they were looking forward to this experience and they were bummed. To end this long post/review (sorry), I'm sure this is not an everyday occurrence on this location but hopefully they would make a better sense of managing and double checking their inventory to avoid what we experienced. I'd still eat at Texas Roadhouse but I'll go the Arcovia location for a satisfying dining experience or better yet, the one here in Houston, Texas.✌️ Note: The second location was inside Conrad Hotel not the Paranaque branch...
Read moreThe place was jam-packed since it was Saturday (aligned with the promo that was being offered by a bank) when we visited Okada. We had a reservation before going to Texas Roadhouse.
Upon arrival, there were a lot of people piling up in the reception booth. There is no clear guideline and there is no proper line towards the receptionist. All customers are almost ganging up on the lone receptionist. This results to the receptionist being rattled. The receptionist would even take in advance orders considering that there are a lot of inquiries from walk-in customers as well. The receptionist has to write everything in a piece of paper. Even though we have a reservation, we are unsure when we would be able to have our dinner. She just told us to wait nearby. Highly suggesting the restaurant to review and improve their procedures specially during within the promo period that they are offering to customers. We even had hard time talking to the receptionist on our advance orders since she was talking to multiple customers simultaneously.
So yes, we are grabbing the chance to eat here because of the promo that they are offering. We even clarified/verified that promo is valid. We are seated after minutes of waiting and have to wait for a considerable amount of time for our order to be served. The service was really not so smooth inside. Everyone’s rattling.
Forgot to took pictures of the food but I find the food pretty decent. We ordered their Roadhouse Platter and just add few items from the menu to suffice 7 people. The best I tasted was still the complimentary bread with butter though.
Regarding the Roadhouse Platter (that was part of their menu and not part of any other promo offers of Texas Roadhouse), it is not part of the Bistro Group Promo offered using the BPI card. It was really annoying that it was not mentioned to us by anyone from the service crew considering the numerous interactions we had with them regarding the advance orders. We just knew it when we are checking the receipt upon billing out. Very frustrating indeed.
The promo already made it possible for them to have many customers. The restaurant, on the other hand, must be still have due diligence in providing quality service...
Read moreWell, I just had an experience at the Texas Roadhouse in the Okada resort in Singapore that was, to put it mildly, incredibly disappointing. In fact, and this is saying something, this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to give a restaurant a single star out of five. From the moment we were seated, things seemed off. The service was unbelievably slow. It felt like we were constantly trying to flag someone down. When the food finally arrived, it was a major letdown. The grilled shrimp was cold!!! I expected at leadt warm or sizzling but they were cold. This was a first time! Not even heat lamp warm. My order of baby back ribs, especially considering the high price tag, was shockingly average in terms of meat quality and taste. My friend, who opted for a steak, was equally disappointed with his meal. We both agreed that the main courses were remarkably tasteless. The only saving grace, and it's a small one, was the side of rice pilaf I ordered – that was actually quite enjoyable. However, even that small positive couldn't salvage the overall experience. To add insult to injury, my iced tea never materialized. It seems our waiter simply forgot about it. The dining environment itself was far from pleasant. The dining room felt cramped, with barely any space to navigate between the tables. It was also incredibly noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation without raising your voice. Even the TV screens, which were playing old sports classics instead of any current events, felt out of touch. Our waiter, while seemingly a nice person, looked completely overworked and frazzled, which likely contributed to the poor service. Overall, my experience at this particular Texas Roadhouse was overwhelmingly negative. The combination of super slow service, bland and overpriced food, a forgotten drink, and an uncomfortable dining environment has firmly convinced me that I will absolutely not be returning to this restaurant. It was a truly regrettable...
