TLDR: Bad food, bad service. If you’re in it for the vibe and ambiance, just get a booking for the museum but don’t eat here.
Just sharing our experience to warn others.
I’m usually very forgiving to service crews in the food and hospitality industry but I can’t really hide my disappointment with this one.
We arrived early and was at least 15 mins early before our reservation. We were the first one to arrive there. We told them we have a reservation and asked them to escort us to our table. Much to our surprise, they told us to seat in a table with no shade (please mind that this was around 11 am so the sun was really high up.) When we asked them why we were seated there, they told us there were 25 pax reserved for the other tables. Of course, this was weird to me because I booked our table way back in February and even asked for nice seats because it was my birthday. Anyway, we just tried to understand the situation thinking that this could be a 25 pax family celebrating something and it would be weird if we try to interject ourselves in between their tables.
We eventually sat in a table with less to none shade and tried to move the tables as far the shade could go. We ordered our food as other guests came. This is when I got really disappointed even more. The service was terrible and very slow. Us and other tables had to get our own water because the service was so slow. Waiters would prefer to serve tables who look more wealthy. I really hate to be that person, but that’s what really happened. We noticed that customers who looked more mayaman got better service. Waiters were attentive to them and orders were being served faster. I also noticed that most of our orders were same with them so I was really surprised. I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. And here comes the weird part, i started to realize that these people were different families and not a collective 25 pax??? So we were really tossed aside even though we had a reservation.
Moving on with food, I was very VERY disappointed. I had the impression that the food is good since it’s the same owner with Cibo. But I was wrong. Pasta was undercooked. Pasta wasn’t seasoned but the sauce was extremely salty. There was nothing special with the food. I ordered rigatoni, veal, and ragu and there wasn’t a single veal in it. We ordered a medium steak and it was very bloody. The food was so expensive and didn’t even taste good. After waiting so long for the food, i was so shocked how poor was the quality.
Overall, it was a very bad experience especially it was my birthday. The service was poor. You can really tell the staff weren’t trained. The food was very VERY disappointing. I was very hungry and didn’t eat anything prior because I was expecting that I’ll eat a lot there. I didn’t even manage to finish my pasta. It...
Read morePerfect ambiance for a quiet dinner date with friends or significant ones. Just be kind to yourself and bring some mosquito repellent spray 😅. Too many ants too 😬
Food: Good, pricey, small serving.
For starters we ordered Negros Burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil (my favorite!) and Artichoke & Parmigiano-Reggiano dip.
For the mains, we had Paella Valenciana which my friends love so much, Linguine Prawn Pasta (a bit undercooked), Halibut Fritto (so-so), cheese and truffle pizza (loved this! or I just love anything with truffle? 😂 ), Cotoletta of Chicken breast (I didn’t try this as it looks dry and overcooked).
Cost us around Php 1,750 per head with drinks.
After dinner, we had some drinks at the bar inside the plane. I must say the bartender was great! Had Destination Paradise for myself. Drink per glass is Php 450.
If you are a fan of London Gin, you must check out their Tanqueray Terrace which is open until 11pm. They a got a few selection of B1G1 drinks for 450 and 500 pesos.
Overall it’s a nice experience! Definitely a unique place. Kudos to the staff 🥂
For improvement, hope they would put some bug zappers and clean the pond...
Read moreIncredibly disappointing event (Mothers Day) managed and delivered by Palacio de Memoria and The Loggia. For the amount we paid (₱8799 for 6 pax), the event was lackluster in all ways.
2 hours were allotted for the flowers, wine, pictures and ground tour, but the organizers failed to take into account how many minutes it would take the customers to go around. One would only need an hour at most with the way they have set things up. There were no welcome drinks, mood music, they could not even pay for a proper photobooth.
The food was the most disappointing of all. I expected a lot especially from one of Margarita Fores’ legacy, but it left a lot to be desired. This was a pre-paid event with a set menu. There were probably less than 70 people overall, but somehow serving was incredibly delayed. The portions were awful too. It was barely enough for five people.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend going to Palacio de Memoria’s organized events. The venue itself was gorgeous and offered unlimited potential for any type of event, and this potential wasn’t...
