Yu Lei | Okada Manila — Restaurant in Parañaque

Tried Yu Lei’s afternoon tea for around ₱3,500 and it was such a unique experience! Everything was beautifully presented on a 2-tier stand. Super Instagrammable and felt really fancy. The set had a mix of savory and sweet, and even included rice, soup, and Chinese dishes with a modern twist. Honestly, the 2-tier set is more than enough for two people.

The ambiance was amazing, very elegant and private. The place felt exclusive, and there’s even a really nice hallway that’s perfect for photos. You can really see the attention to detail everywhere. It wasn’t crowded at all, even though we went on a weekend (we did call ahead just to be safe).

The only thing I hope they improve is the serving time. It took a while for everything to come out, but other than that, the experience was totally worth it. Loved...

"Uchi is the best! Their customer service is always excellent — Uchi personally visits us in the private room to make sure everything is served perfectly and nothing is missed. We especially love the private rooms at Yu Lei, which even have their own washrooms, making the experience extra comfortable and convenient. The only minor downside is that the doors are very heavy (which can be a bit amusing), but aside from that, the ambience, service, and Shanghainese food are all outstanding. Great value for money for something that is very comparable to the Michelin star Chinese restaurants in Singapore with fairly large portions. Even came with complimentary appetisers and after-meal snacks.
