Coffee Bean and the Tea Leaf - SM East Ortigas — Restaurant in Pasig

We just got home from dining in CBTL SM East Ortigas. We ordered 2 drinks to which one of it is Mocha chocolate chip. Upon tasting the drink we noticed that what they say "chocolate chips" is an ACTUAL COFFEE GROUNDS mixed to our drink. The barista is insisting na, "ganyan po talaga sya magaspang sa lalamunan", as if we are illiterate people na first time lang magkape. I got really offended by how the bartender treated us and by the humiliation in that moment, I smiled silently and walked away. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK!!!

It's easy to admit a mistake if they messed up our drink or offered to change it nalang sana. Sobrang nakakadismaya, hindi mainom at tinapon nalang. We paid 600+ pesos to experience this. Nag Starbucks...

So called Manager named Laarni took her grand time sending a message via Messenger then later on couting her coins and when she accommodated me, no”hi or hello” and just said “to go na lang kami”. Told her yes it’s okat but then she continued counting coins while I was handing out her my debit card. Seeing she’s not acknowledging it I placed it on the counter. Errands done earlier. Now’s chill time. CBTL’s the cafe to go at SM East Ortigas. Friendlies staff they have. Crowd’s professionals and yuppies. Sunday’s not so crowded after all. Dark chocolate cake’s not hurting to intolerants like me. Thanks CBTL
