The price is expensive but the serving size and quality makes it worth it. Overall not bad and a good place to try. I really liked the mushroom pasta. The cheese and mushroom fit well with the oil based sauce. It was flavorful albeit a bit too greasy on your mouth. The Salmon Mac and Cheese was delicious and cheesy. It did need me to place salt multiple times as the bottom layer lacked flavor though. But overall with the salt, it was delicious and felt really cost-efficient for a hearty meal. The spaghetti and meatball was also good. The meatball was soft and juicy. The spaghetti sauce was the more sour variant and it was good. It wasn't too sour and the flavor was there. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo pasta. The penne was kind of too al dente (hard) at parts. Then the chorizo for me lacked flavor. The tomato sauce was just okay and I preferred the spaghetti sauce more.

I'm not familiar with Toby's origin, so I was slightly disappointed when the Big Breakfast didn't come with rice. It had potatoes, so maybe that was supposed to be the sub? All I knew was that I needed rice with my "ulam." Luckily, the service was great and they offered me black rice on the side. I'm a pescatarian so I gave the sausages to my partner. She enjoyed them. Latte was slightly bitter - just the way I like it. Blueberry bagel was yummy, though I wish that the cream cheese came with the price instead of charged separately. Overall good experience. I forgot the names of the two ladies but they were really nice.

Oct 2024 Australian cafe chain that has one of its oldest outlets in Ortigas CBD. This particular one is pretty popular with the working crowd as well as those who frequent nearby GCF. Coffee is consistent through the years while food has developed well. Pastry and dessert offerings are the usual. Service is prompt with table service despite counter ordering. The place is clean and spacious though I can't recall when if ever it was renovated. Ideal for quick meals and they also have a long table for big groups. Sundays ecpect the GCF crowd to monopolize that area.

Love their macchiato here - rich and bold.

The breakfast food choices are also good --- if they have it in stock. About 30% of their food menu was out of stock - very disappointing, including my favorite calorie cholesterol shocker corned beef hash. I then ordered the pumpkin soup - while visually appealing, was bland and starchy; could barely taste the pumpkin. Sad.

The staff also seemed at a loss as to what was in stock, or ready to serve (some were "still frozen"). They need a bit more training.

  • update, in response to query from owner below (sorry, don't know how to reply directly). This was on May 9 between 1030am to 1pm --- there were no stock of any meat-based product (no corned beef hash, no pepitos, no chicken, etc); the tomato soup was "still frozen"; no salted caramel ice cream, no berry crunch. I was told that "the delivery had just arrived" this was around 1030 am. Hopeful that this was...

Disappointing experience at Toby’s Estate Cyber Gamma branch.

The entrance was soaking wet and smelled like a restroom — really unpleasant.

The brownies were dry and hard.

There was no wet floor sign inside the café; I almost slipped on my way out.

The coffee beans tasted off — definitely not the same quality as the BGC branch.

I arrived around 4:30 PM (they close at 5 PM), but the staff immediately said, “For takeout na lang po, sir, kasi magsasara na po kami ng 5PM.”

I wasn’t even planning to dine in, but I think it’s still too early to turn customers away 30 minutes before closing. If it were 5–10 minutes before, that would be understandable — but 30 minutes is just too soon.

It’s a shame because I genuinely like Toby’s Estate in other branches, but this one really needs improvement in cleanliness, product quality, and...
