🥓🍖🥩 Meat - fresh meat and they served good amount of it. They have egg, soup, kimchi, 🥬 lettuce, fishcake/pancake(?) salad, and japchae for their side dishes. They only offer plain meat for their unlimited and those marinated meats are separate order. We took advantage of getting their unlimited meat with free 1.5 softdrinks for 4pax

🍜 MulNeangmyeon and Japchae/Chapchae 🍙 Kimbab - it was not included in the unlimited option but you should not miss trying their kimbab and MulNeangmyeon. It was delicious and would never expect that it's really good since it's cold noodles. Japchae were served last (since we requested it) but it was still good.

👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Staffs - the staffs were friendly and accommodating. They were able to attend to our requests and orders at a reasonable time. They did not miss any of our requests all throughout our stay.

📍🏢 Place/Ambiance - great place to get authentic Korean food and they are open 24hrs, with 2hours limit. It was not really crowded when we get there so I would say the ventilation system is good since it was not smoky unlike other restaurants. You may just have a challenge in seeing the place at night if you're not familiar since the signage outside doesn't have lights. They have 2 floors and you may get more seats...

Disappointing.

We had the unli package for 549 pesos. The beef was super thick and the pork had more fat than meat. My partner kept comparing them to erasers (and yes, we cooked them right. We love kbbq). Steamed egg tasted like nothing. The chicken had no seasoning on it and the tempura was more breading than shrimp. Kimchi was either a hit or miss but it suited my taste more times than not. The only delicious part of our meal was the doenjang jiggae and the add-on soda to our meal.

Our first server was very slow and did not prepare our table in the beginning. He also forgot some of our requests. It wasn’t until another server (after 10mins) saw our table empty that he set the table for us. But our second server was great. He was fast and took initiative.

The place is spacious and surprisingly had really good air circulation. We dined here at around 8pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy.

I remember lines forming outside the restaurant pre-covid but I guess the quality has changed since then. Too bad.

Partner’s Review: I’ve gone to a lot of unli-KBBQ restaurants over the years and this restaurant is hands-down the worst I’ve been to. The best part was when I had to stand up to...

We went there a little before 12NN. When we arrived, there were a lot of vacant seats, but they were instantly filled once 12NN hits. Food options are quite versatile. We got Kimchi Jiggae, Mul Naengmyeon, and Yangnyeom chicken. The Kimchi Jiggae is good, it has the tanginess and spiciness that I am looking for, though it could need a little more spice. The serving for Mul Naengmyeon is HUGE, its a big bowl of cold noodles with sliced cucumber, (i think) pickled radish, and boiled egg. The broth is slightly sour, reminiscent of the taste of cucumber-vinegar dip. This was my first time to eat this dish, but I might try it from a different restaurant so I can gauge if I truly enjoyed the dish. The Yangnyeom chicken serving is HUGE as well, it's probably good for 2-3 pax. The actual chicken slices are really big, very crispy, but lack flavor. I expected yangnyeom to be spicier, but it disappointed me. The chicken is really juicy, but the inside has no flavor at all. Side dishes were mediocre. Service is not that good, even though there are only a few customers, it took a really long time to get their attention and ask for the bill. I don't see myself going back here...

What's good? • SaLang is open 24 hours • I like their sundubu. Good serving size is enough for one and is flavorful. • Dining area and the comfort room is good. Although there are obvious wear and tear in the comfort, but it's clean and smells fresh. What's disappointing? • Samgyeopsal — pork meat is okay; you don't grill it yourself, they FRY it for you. The kangkong and other side dishes taste old except kimchi. Lettuce is not refillable, you will pay an additional 60.00 for it. No soup that comes with your samgyeopsal. • They served the lettuce soaking wet! Hindi man lang ipinagpag yung tubig. Salang is your go-to restaurant when you need a Korean food fix in the middle of the night. Other dishes are good enough. Samgyeopsal and woosamgyeop is a disappointment (may be try the unli for 399 and 499 if it'll make a difference; single serve is 300 and 400). Their food doesn't go at par with other Korean restaurants I frequent in Makati and Manila for the same or lower price. Salang is not the place I'll be looking forward visiting again.
