Summary: Great location with modern and comfortable rooms. However, complete disaster with unusable internet, terrible service, and lying by staff members which ruins the entire experience.
When I stayed back in May 2025, there was a complete internet outage for over a week. Other hotels in the area were not affected. Their solution was to tell their guests to go to the swimming pool area where they had set up a 5G modem for all their guests to share. Despite me requesting my own, so I could actually be in the room I paid for, this was not actually provided until a week into the outage.
The issue was actually caused because they decided to pick the cheapest and most unreliable internet provider and then decided that 20 Mbit is sufficient for their backup connection. Obviously, this is not enough for a 200+ room property, but their little bit of monthly savings is worth more to them than their guest experience.
I spoke with Dave Inere during that time, and we discussed the fact I got a lower price through Agoda and that I had to spend a lot of money on roaming data to have internet in my room. He promised and guaranteed me he'd match the Agoda rate in the future and that he'd discuss how to compensate me with management. He never actually reached out: lie #1.
Many months later, I asked him to match the Agoda rate. Despite showing him that it's P3637 there, he said he can offer me a rate of P4662 (identical to their online price), and that he's unable to match that rate: lie #2.
Then Luz Eleanor Mirandilla-Bacar got involved, and she actually made the experience worse. Initially, she would just gloss over my request of compensation, despite me clearly communicating it. Then, instead of genuinely being apologetic for their complete internet failure and several lies about matching rates and reaching out compensation, she treated it as a negotiation.
She would offer a room upgrade, but not compensation for my expenses back in May. She never actually asked how much my expenses were. She then offered compensation for my expenses, but took back the room upgrade. She said the room upgrade was already compensation because "Agoda bookings don't get perks", despite Dave never mentioning this in all the emails prior.
She also mentioned things like "platinum upgrades are only one category", despite the Terms of Service + previous experiences showing otherwise: lie #3. It's all unfortunate, because if she simple offered the upgrade for this staff and partial refund for the previous stay, the issue would be fully resolved.
And unbelievably, in the past four months they still didn't fix their internet issues. That just shows you their priorities. They're probably stuck on a contract and don't want to pay a few thousand pesos per month more, still refusing to pay for a proper primary + secondary provider, both with sufficient capacity.
All in all, a nice property which is completely let down by their desire to save a few pesos on internet connectivity and absolutely...

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Citadines Millennium Ortigas and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! This was my second stay at the hotel.
The staff were incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful recommendations for local dining options, their hospitality truly stood out. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Even when I had the do not disturb light on at the door, they always called to ask what would be a better time to service the room. It was evident that cleanliness is a top priority for the hotel, which made me feel right at home.
One of the best features of Citadines is its convenient location. It’s situated just a short walk from Robinson's Galleria and popular attractions, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer without the hassle of transportation. There is a parking garage on-site which is easily accessible.
Additionally, I was impressed with the trustworthy housekeeping staff. They would roll up my cell phone charger or laptop charger and set it nicely on the desk or nightstand table. If I dropped an earring they would leave it on the nightstand. They respected my privacy while ensuring that my room was tidy and replenished daily. It’s reassuring to know that the staff is reliable and attentive to details.
I recommend making a reservation for any spa services. They previously offered room service but it is no longer offered. I miss the garden deck and restaurant that I enjoyed during my first stay a couple of years ago. The breakfast area is smaller and sometimes you have to share tables but the staff is curteous and accomodating.
Overall, I highly recommend the Citadines Millennium Ortigas to anyone looking for a...
