Discovery Suites was able to highly maintain their facilities and building with excellent condition despite the fact that is has been over a decade. Furnitures, appliances and overall feel and design is still updated giving it a modern feel. The rooms are very spacious with big bathrooms. This is a typical nice place but not so ok service. Dissapointed in overall service. This is based on 4 incidents that happened. 1. We called in at 1pm to ask for an early check in since regular check in time is at 3pm and gave the information who will do needed paperwork. My colleague who came in first processed the requirements for us to check in. She filled out paper had her id photocopied then just to tell her that they need the one who reserved the place. All those effort that ended up with nothing. 2. Everyone arrived at 3pm only to find out they gave out our room. We requested two units of 3 br on the same floor or just beside together. They ended giving us the first room at 5pm. Which is 2 hours late having us to adjust our agenda for the day. They gave out 3 pizzas and juice to compensate for the trouble but still its wasted time. This is considering we did our part to call in advanced. 3. Second batch came asking for the key card. They were given a room that is under a different name. We corrected immediately but front desk was insistent. We told them 3x that we do not know the person and look for our second room and to our surprise they gave it our again ending up getting the rooms on different floors. Asking for a swap, since the guest has not checked in yet. They seem to lack understanding to the point we gave up. 4. Since the we were checked in late and our agenda also started late, we requested to check out late at 5pm to maximize our payment and of course our stay. They wanted to charge us halfday for an hour extention and to my anger, I rebutted with "you should have discounted us when you got us checked in late". They further got us into a dission by telling us "we gave you pizzas and juices for the wait time". To the point of endless madness is just said "then give me my room discount and I will pay the pizza". Could not rebutt further we got the extension for 1 hr only. 5. BONUS ROUND - We asked for 3 buckets of ice since the stay was for a meeting and strat planning. In came in after 2 hours with 3 followup call. Take note they only gave us 1 bucket since they don't allow more than that. Which they can tell us ahead of time so we could have simply purchased somewhere when stores were still open. I really love the place but management has to change. If this is the service I get here, I would expect the same with their other branches like Discovery Shores Boracay. This is also the first time I'll be rating a 1-star

Discovery Suites is serious when they say, "Welcome home". The staff were incredibly friendly, and the old rustic atmosphere does feel like you're visiting your ancestral home. We felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Discovery Centre is a rather old building, and it shows in the design which gives it a nostalgic feel. It even smells old, in a very good way. The rooms were comfortably modern with a touch of the past. There was cassette audio system (Cassette!) that still worked, or at least the radio did. The AC panel was an old sliding switch instead of a modern LCD which really gave the room character. Would have been cool if they had a CRT TV but I can't complain about their smart internet connected TV with access to Netflix. We also liked their indoor pool, which was pleasantly not really indoor. It was located in a covered open area which provides a cool breeze for swimmers unlike totally indoor pools where you breathe recycled air from everybody. You can also get a sliver of sunlight at the edge and probably only at a certain time of the day. The pool was very cold when we were there, so we opted to use the small warm jacuzzi. Luckily nobody was at the pool, so we had it all to ourselves. Their gym is big with a separate studio if you want to do yoga, a separate free-weights area for serious body builders, and an area for exercise equipment. Sadly, their sauna, steam room, and hot tub were not available. There's only one complaint that we have and it's the food. It's not bad but it's just disappointingly mediocre, specially for the high price tag. Their breakfast is average and nothing special, except maybe for the make-your-own waffle. Room service food, which we ordered quite a lot of, was also disappointing. Their 22 Prime Monster Burger, for example, was very dissatisfying. It looked great and it was very hefty but when I bit into it, there was no flavor. There was no hint of beef at all. It was like I was eating some sort of mystery meat. It was quite confusing since it looked like it was going to taste great and the patty looked like it was cooked the way I wanted it, medium rare. The other food was ok but just like breakfast, it wasn't special. Just unnecessarily expensive. You'd be better off eating at the Podium, which is literally across the street, or order from Grab. Other than the food, it was great. We had fun and we're definitely coming back.

We had an overnight stay for two in this hotel. The hotel dedicates B4 & B5 as parking for those who will check in. Parking entrance is at the back of the hotel. They also offer valet parking for a fee. The hotel has two restaurants. We were only able to visit Restaurant 5 for buffet breakfast. If you’re going to have meals delivered, you can pick it up in front of the building. The room facilities are sufficient. Our bathroom has a bathtub. The water is heated even the one in the bidet. There is instant coffee provided in the room. There are two bottled water. If you want decent coffee, you can get an espresso from the buffet. The bed and pillows are sufficient. They provide weighted blanket. You can adjust the temperature of the room and the AC is very quiet. There is television with Sky Cable provided. The television size can be a little bit small but it’s acceptable for two people watching. There’s a small sofa and a working table in the room. There are sockets for plugging your devices. There’s a dock for charging an iPhone but it does not work. There are several lamps to choose from and provide lighting in the room. We stayed on the 16th floor and we have the view of Podium and Megamall. You can see the city skyline from our room. It’s best to see the sunset here. This hotel is a well-recommended for a short staycation. There are guests in the adjacent room to us but we cannot hear them which is good because their kids can be quite loud. The only noise we hear is the door opening or closing. The staff is very responsive to requests e.g. drinking glass, utensils, etc. We asked why there’s only one set provided although the room is good for 2. The staff said that is their common practice but if the guests need another set, they can just provide. Overall, we had a very relaxing overnight stay which we don’t mind doing again here.

Checked in on 2024. -Pricing is okay. However, the booking platform I used charged me 2x and I had to call them to refund the other. I had to pay onsite and do a late check in because of issues with the booking. -room is huge, has a window, the view I got was another building. Overall look is dated with heavy wood fixtures. -room was clean but towels are rough and quite old. They were clean, already off-white. -Toiletries were old school hotel toiletries, bad quality and stingy. +There is a bathtub in all rooms and great water pressure. -checking in took at least 30 mins. -wifi was patchy -hallway was dated, lobby looked sad. +room service dinner was good. I had the burgers. tons of lighting BUT you have to manually close about 10 different lights one by one. I'm not sure if there was a master controller and I failed to locate it. -carpets felt dirty. There was overlap in the carpets in my room and the floor squeaked. I tripped several times. no water stations per floor. Only complementary bottled water, which hotels should migrate away from as they are terrible for the environment. +air-conditioning was sufficient -BIGGEST CON: My breakfast experience was terrible. I came from work when I checked in,.not having been able to prepare anything (no toiletries, extra shoes, clothes). I was wearing high heels then and I wanted to rest my feet a bit more. I went to the restaurant around 9:45am wearing bedroom slippers. The receptionist guided me to my chair but before I sat down she said that I had to go back in my room and change. I stared at her for a while in disbelief. Typically what hotels say at that moment is that in the future if we can ensure to wear closed shoes. BUT why are we required to change our outfit for the hotel? Are we not the customers? I would understand if they asked not to be naked, or to ensure we have clothes on but why closed shoes? And I was already there, obviously sleepy and just woke up, obviously tired and ready for coffee. I did not return because (1) it was 10am by then,.so I won't have enough time to eat, (2) I got so angry. I asked when checking in if I can opt out breakfast but they did not do it saying difference is minimal. While I typically don't eat breakfast, I said... ok, then I will have brunch and go to the resto a little later. This is terrible service, and a stupid policy.

Only best thing is it is walking distance from the office. I will not...
