The service above all else was the best thing about this hotel!
The rooms were very nice, modern, very clean, well-maintained and thought out. We asked for 3 rooms to be close together, and sure enough, we had almost an entire floor to ourselves as the 3 rooms we booked were all adjacent to each other!
The restaurant was excellent! Not only does Maselko (the owner's husband) cook some of the great dishes, but the menu was full of a variety of well-known options to most, along with many Filipino items. It was a large menu! Best of all, the food was very good, and the prices were actually normal! You don't pay the inflated prices of all the nearby restaurants just because it's a resort area. The owners made it a point not to overcharge customers the way so many of the places nearby do.
They also have a small store and other amenities. The location was also very good, basically one or two blocks away from being beachfront, with great views.
Now for the best part, the service! This hotel is family-owned and operated, and this is one great family! They are some of the kindest and sweetest people we've ever met! They look after their customers a lot! They made sure we knew that they don't care about getting as much money out of us as possible, but instead leaving an impression good enough to have us come back and stay with them again. The staff are also part of the family, and they even run some of the events you can do at the beach! They helped us figure everything out, arrange transportation to and from the ferry in the nearby Puerto Galera port. We really felt like guests in their home more than customers at their resort!
Bottom line, should we ever visit White Beach at Puerto Galera again, this is the only place we'll be staying in! Thank you to the wonderful owner Riza, her husband Maselko (I dare you to learn how to pronounce his name properly, it's not easy!), miss Glen and her family, for all being so kind, polite, and...
Read moreIt is our much awaited trip but and unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this hotel.||||1) Free transfers but only for 1 way. They charge extra P500 to bring you back to the port. Late arrival of transfers for both ways. ||||2) No person is in charge at the reception area 24-7. So when you leave or need anything, no one will assist you||||3) Lack of flexibility on the breakfast schedule. There are times that your flight is very early that you request for pack breakfast Instead as you paid for it but they won’t accomodate you but rather get mad at you||||4) set breakfast that you order when you enter the breakfast area. When served , they give you different meals, drinks. When you correct them , they will just say that is what they listed even if they wrote it incorrectly. Servings are very small also.||||5) Rude in dealIng with customers||||6) Aircon is not cool enough to support the room. They don’t have electric fans on all rooms to make it cooler. Rooms, aircons, restrooms needs cleaning||||Won’t recommend this hotel and will...
Read moreI choose this out of the many options I’ve searched in net due to the spacious space and new facilities.|PROS |- Exactly as in the picture, spacious and clean.|- Aircon and TV with cable is working perfectly.|- Hot shower is working (because most claim this but is not working)|- They let us borrow the electronic kettle and mugs for hot water for our tea/coffee.|- Breakfast is cooked deliciously. Tocilog is my fave and they cooked it well. Brewed Coffee refill is a plus! Then you eat at the rooftop although better with shade.|- Staffs are approachable and nice!|- Free shuttle service when you arrive.|- Safety is a must which they have CCTV and dual locks in the door.|- Only 3-5mins walk to the beach, and away from the noise.|CONS|- Staffs dont have duplicate keys. What if the guest lost it?|- I guess water in Galera smells really rustic.|- Room has many mosquitoes inside the room. Good thing they let us borrow the insect spray.|Overall - I will choose this again the next time...
