This is the 4th time me and my husband ate here. This time table for three. I booked a table at 8pm and specified near the glass ledge and got a reply, "okay po". We arrived 15 minutes early. First thing we noticed that changed was there's no one now who would usher their customer in their seats be it booked or not. We were standing for 5 minutes until we had to call the attention of one of them. It's only then that we were ushered to sit. Second thing, the reservation we requested did not materialized. I suppose I should have specified "table beside the glass ledge". So that's fine, my bad. To be fair, the table was indeed near the glass ledge. Thirdly, we ordered for starters, Dragon maki and futo maki. The orders came in 35 minutes after! Two visits ago you can order wine by the glass, now only by the bottle! If your just two or three who ordered a tenderloin steaks in addition, you want to accompany it with red wine but not to binge with wine. More so if only one or two prefers them and the other cocktail or mock tails. And lastly, the tenderloin steaks was a bit bland. But to be fair, along with the vegetables and salad it turned out fair. All the Japanese food though that we ordered were superb. Hope service will...
Read moreWe expected more after seeing all the positive TikTok reviews. I initially thought the venue was located inside the hotel, but it turned out to be in what looked like an office or storage area. We took the building’s elevator, and upon reaching the top most floor of the service elevator, we found stacks of chairs and dust everywhere due to ongoing renovations, we had to take the stairs to get to the rooftop.
When we arrived, no one greeted us, and there were no signs indicating an ongoing event the alfresco area. With the loud music playing, we assumed there was an event happening at the alfresco section, though some onlookers seemed confused about why we were there. We proceeded to the main dining area, but again, no one welcomed us.
I noticed a staff member eating inside the kitchen who saw us but didn’t approach. I had to ask someone at the sushi bar if they were open since no one was assisting us. I asked three times because he seemed busy preparing for the event.
The food was average—nothing special. After being served, my partner and I were already disappointed. We stayed for less than 30 minutes and didn’t even finish our meal. We came expecting a relaxing dining experience but left feeling...

One of our food stops in the Timog area.
GOOD: Rooftop location shared with sister restautant Nautilus gave diners a nice view of the Timog skyline. Recommended to go in the evening. Thick menu. Lots of food options. Their sister restaurant has a lively DJ set playing outside which gave diners a 2 in 1 destination.
COULD BE IMPROVED: Salmon sashimi order was delicious but not consistent. Our first order came with 7 plump slices. We decided to order another one. This came with disappointingly thin slices. Standards please. Our waiter had the uniform of Okujo's sister resto Nautilus. We inquired about the rolls since there was no description of the ingredients used. He was not familiar so we ended up not ordering. Easy fix training your crew. Diners had to change elevators to get to the rooftop otherwise they need to climb 2 flights of stairs. This small second elevator felt unfinished and unsure. Please fix this soonest to avoid accidents.
As much as possible, I try to see the good in establishments to help with their business so hopefully Okujo will get more business with my...
