Went out with friends for a relaxed dinner and watch Wimbledon Mens Finals on the phone whilst chit chatting away. Pepper Tree is nestled inside the pop up mall which a good architecture considering the who establishment is built with shipping containers. The owner of Pepper Tree himself came out and warmly greeted us, took care of our seating and handed the menu.

Best was that the owner was able to recommend dishes based on what we felt like eating or drinking. The 12 spice beef kebab was absolutely delectable, topping it was the spicy paneer tikka, okra friend & spiced which went great with the no sugar masala lemonade and of course the shrimp masala made it a total good round of proteins. Exactly what I needed post a strenuous workout from Padel Tennis.

Pepper Tree is a must visit and now that the weather is relatively cooler and rainier, its a perfect alfresco spot...

Growing up in Dubai, I was surrounded with indian culture! They totally nailed the flavours of my childhood! If you're looking for legit indian food, indian-filipino fusion and then some at a reasonable price this is your place. I absolutely love it. Hiro, the owner and head chef is often there and he is a great fellow. They also sell authentic indian spices that they personally source straight from India. This is where I get my chai masalla! Their menu is not so vast but every weekend he puts up something special that's limited. They also have a couple of craft beer that goes perfectly well with their curries. I recommend their special Kambing curry (weekends only) with the IPA. If you happen to drop by on a week day, the IPA goes well with their chicken tikka masala too....

Fan of a lot of the Indian restaurants closer to the South (Makati, BGC area), but this restaurant is easier access for me so I tried it out.

Food was good flavorwise, the butter chicken had a stronger than usual tomato flavor (which may be a plus for some). However, I did appreciate the quantity of chicken inside the curry.

The kebabs were decent, definitely had the flavor profile of kebabs found in Indian cuisine, but nothing special.

What drove my rating down was the quality of the roti, just was not appetizing, and didn't taste well alone or in combination with the butter chicken's curry.

Overall, this is an ok place to scratch that itch, but I think its quite expensive for what it...

Was excited to try this resto because I love Indian food and eat it quite a bit, and I saw a good review by chinitafoodie on TikTok. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed. Food was nauseating (in fact, still nauseated the day after and I think I got a little food poisoning). Shrimp undercooked and soggy, rice also soggy, curry flavor profile tasted like airplane food, and everything in general was gross for me. Did not taste authentic. Only thing I appreciated was the way they taped the containers. Definitely not worth it for its price and not worth it at all. I feel gross and I’m never going to eat from here again.
