Our family went here recently to have lunch after visiting some other nearby attraction in Pampanga. The food was satisfactory and by that I mean that it was nothing fancy; just a notch better than home cooking. We nevertheless enjoyed the adobong balut, crispy kangkong, fish fillet, fried hito, and kare-kare. There were some misses here and there. The pinapaitan was slightly too sour for our taste, while the sisig was ordinary. In any case, the price (PhP358.00) was very cheap which explains why the place was so crowded at lunch. It seems the management can take a second look at this overcrowding and implement a few controls that could benefit everyone: diners, staff and yes, even the owners. We couldn't help but wonder if some people manage to "escape" and not pay for their food in all the chaos. I think one of the easy suggestions would be to have another buffet station. People crowded over just one buffet table. Salads, side dishes and desserts were laid out in other stations but were still subject to crowding. I was worried about the puddles of water that were accumulating near the halo-halo station and the chance that someone would slip and get hurt. In any case, we appreciated the staff who did their best serving everyone. They replenished food as quickly as possible, attended to requests for water, etc., helped out with parking, and over-all just tried their best to serve the customers. It is not a bad place, but not an outstanding one either. I guess the test is will we go out of our way to come back and the answer is perhaps not. In fairness, it is still worth dropping by if ever you are in the area, just make sure you do so outside...
Read moreCelebrated mother's day here at Holidayland for only 388 unlimited per adult. The place was shocking because we didn't know that there is a function hall for events such as debut, wedding, etc. Its open for dine in and can accommodate lots of people.
Food: the food for its price, it offers many varieties of dishes and desserts for the price of 388. I really liked the tawilis, crablets and adobong balot. Their pork and beef was super tender great for the elderly. Also their vegetable salad was phenomenal because they paired it with the sweetest and ripest spicy mangoes. I really liked it. However, my grandma was looking for their ginataang suso which they offered before but we didn't see it there. They have halo halo and kakanin for dessert.
Parking: we also didn't know that they have a huge parking area at the back. I think many customers also don't know about this because they and we were trying to fit in front and it was congested. Maybe because there's a lack of signage...
Read moreThere were a lot of people, but there was no wait time when we went there even if it was lunch time. So that's good. It proves to be popular for families, as i observed most of people there.
Good for a budget buffet. Sulit narin for the food selections. Like adobo balut and the seafood. Something like what you'd eat at a big handaan sa bahay siguro. But taste was not really special. Sulit na sya and okay siguro if you're near the area. Okay rin na naexperience ko sya...but not something I would go back to since we live very far. Dinayo lang namin sya after seeing it in a vlog. 😅
Ambience, medyo outdated na, but there are traces of really creative ideas for the interior. Pero medyo need na ng revamp dahil medyo luma na.
Can't say anything bad with the service tho. Very approachable ang mga staff. And pansin mo kahit daming tao around the buffet table lagi, hindi sya nauubusan ng laman...maya't maya ang refill.
Also, cashless payment options...
