Belle’s Beach Bar — Restaurant in San Juan

We didn’t stay here, but we came for lunch as it’s near our dive school — and honestly, I’m glad we did.

This spot has a stunning seaside view, complete with its own grassy lawn, hammocks, and sun umbrellas. On a breezy day, it’s the perfect place to chill and soak up the peaceful island vibe. The atmosphere here is incredibly relaxed and nature-friendly — the WiFi password is literally “Friends of Animals,” and it matches the mood of the place perfectly.

There are a few dogs and a cat wandering around. One cat even came and curled up on our laps while we were eating — super sweet and made the experience even more memorable.

The restaurant serves mostly vegan dishes. The food is healthy and reasonably priced, though I’d say the flavor was just average, and service was a bit slow. But honestly, with that view, I didn’t mind waiting. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you’re just happy to be present.

I recently dined at Belle's Beach Bar with two clients, hoping for a delightful culinary experience. However, our meal left much to be desired.

Upon perusing the menu, we were disappointed to find only a few options for main dishes. Despite this limitation, we decided to try the vegan burger. Regrettably, it was a letdown from the moment it arrived.

The burger patty's consistency was disappointingly smushy, lacking the texture one would expect from a burger. Additionally, the taste fell flat, leaving us underwhelmed and unsatisfied.

While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and the service was adequate, the subpar quality of the vegan burger overshadowed any positives.

We stayed at the villas at Belle's Bar while in Siquijor to get our PADI Open Water certification. The owner, Sai, is an incredible dive instructor who made the whole experience smooth, professional, and enjoyable.

We also visited Belle's Beach Bar, and I can confidently say it’s the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. The falafel wrap was absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The vegan Spanish omelette was equally delicious, perfectly seasoned, and satisfying.
