Coming back to Little Store on the Hill after so many years was such a nostalgic treat! I remember it fondly from my childhood, and it’s great to see how much it has grown since then. The expanded space now has better seating, improved lighting, and a more comfortable layout—definitely a welcome upgrade.

The food is just as good as I remember, if not better. It’s easily the best spot for authentic Fil-Chi dishes in San Juan. Classic favorites like Maki Mi, Fresh Lumpia, Kiampung, Siomai, and Soy Chicken all hit the mark, combining rich flavors and traditional recipes. Plus, the mini Chinese mart is a nice touch, offering a great selection of dried goods and sauces.

The service is attentive, though the serving time could use a little improvement. But with such affordable prices and great food quality, it’s easy to overlook that. I absolutely love it here—it’s a gem that keeps the charm of old...

May2025 This Little Store outlet used to be more restaurant than Asian and Chinese grocery store. Now it is the other way around with the food business catering more to delivery and pickup modes. The dining area has shrunk and unfortunately so has its bestselling fresh lumpia. Shrinkflation.

Service for food is also unreliable now as they are often swamped with outside orders.

However their grocery is still one of the most popular stores in San Juan.

Best to go to the Gilmore branch if you want to...

Located somewhere along J. Abad Santos St, "Little Store" of course literally as the name itself, is a small grocery selling varieties of Chinese goods, with some Japanese and Singaporean products like Black Pepper Sauce.

They have refrigerated dimsum packs like Lobster Balls, Kuchay, and Siomai, with some fresh vegetables, and of course, a mini-dining area to eat some Chinese delicacies.

Those items sold therein are your DIY Hotpot items.

Parking is lacking. You need to park on the opposite...
