Coming back to Little Store on the Hill after so many years was such a nostalgic treat! I remember it fondly from my childhood, and it’s great to see how much it has grown since then. The expanded space now has better seating, improved lighting, and a more comfortable layout—definitely a welcome upgrade.
The food is just as good as I remember, if not better. It’s easily the best spot for authentic Fil-Chi dishes in San Juan. Classic favorites like Maki Mi, Fresh Lumpia, Kiampung, Siomai, and Soy Chicken all hit the mark, combining rich flavors and traditional recipes. Plus, the mini Chinese mart is a nice touch, offering a great selection of dried goods and sauces.

Now it is the other way around with the food business catering more to delivery and pickup modes. The dining area has shrunk and unfortunately so has its bestselling fresh lumpia. Shrinkflation.
Service for food is also unreliable now as they are often swamped with outside orders.
However their grocery is still one of the most popular stores in San Juan.
