Max's is an institution in Philippine dining for almost 75 years or so and their chicken has always been 'to die for' and it's only natural for the franchise to try other Filipino dishes, like my current favorites, Chicken Sisig Rice Meal and Sizzling Tofu--both spicy and tasty combined with the perfect texture. The meal package is best with a flavoured drink. Root beer is just the right beverage for yours truly to slightly tame the Siling labuyo (Philippine red chili) mixed with the meals as well as to prime your taste buds for the next few spoonfuls. Both meals + a drink barely set me back $10. The branch has courteous, accommodating staff and while the restrooms are shared and a tad small, it and the wash area are clean, important for any diner. Max at the new Greemhills Mall was new and very clean. We decided to have dinner and order their Spring Chicken and Beef Kare-Kare. This time they did not disappoint. The chicken was freshly cooked. The Kare-Kare was delicious and was served hot.

Out of all the Max’s branches I visited,including the first branch in QC, this one in GH mall had the best food and best service.
