We recently ordered 6 Super Halo-Halo from this restaurant after being enticed by the appetizing photo in their advertisement. The image showcased a vibrant dessert packed with a variety of jellies, gulaman, and other traditional fillings. However, what we received was far from what was promised.
The halo-halo that arrived at our doorstep lacked the ingredients that made it “super.” Instead, it was mostly filled with monggo beans and corn, with just a small amount of sweetened banana and a few strips of coconut. To make matters worse, it was topped with a lackluster chocolate ice cream—quite a downgrade from the expected ube ice cream featured in the ad.
It felt like they accepted the order despite not having the full set of ingredients and decided to push through with whatever was available. Next time I eat there, I'll take pictures. The pansit is great, fried rice is great, buttered chicken yum, tinola 👌 The interior is dated but that's something I love because it hasn't changed much since I was a little girl. Besides, you go there...
