Fowlbread — Restaurant in Taguig

Last night, we ate at Fowlbread for the first time in a long while (our last was pre-covid!) and our last experience wasn’t that good to be honest. BUT yesterday we celebrated my birthday and we decided why not go back to Fowlbread. We had the Chicken Sandwich Set for two, the Crispers rice meal for our son, and the Banana Donuts. The food was served immediately but they weren’t hot anymore, we didn’t mind since we were hungry and it tasted good anyway. It was really hot out even though we dined in the evening because their indoor seating is under renovation. And they didn’t have fans. But Geno and Mel went above and beyond, they let us borrow a small fan for my 1yo son to use while we ate. :) we greatly appreciate this! They were also very attentive, all tables were seated but they were able to tend to all of us. :) A suggestion though would be to have highchairs available, good thing we had the detachable strap to normal chairs to help my son sit down and also help us as a couple enjoy our meal. But if it were other couples with babies it could be hard to consider Fowlbread as a place to dine at. Overall our experience last night was a 10/10 and we would definitely go back! :) thank you,...

GREAT CHICKEN SANDWICH BUT IT HAD THE INTENTION TO KILL!

Fowlbread's Deluxe Chicken Sandwich (Spicy) is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. It's super tasty and bursting with flavor. The spiciness is 'just right' (although I would've preferred it to be a bit spicier). And there are so many yummy things going on with it—the pickles, the fried chicken skin, and the magic sauce!

The only caveat is that it's also super greasy and unhealthy! I could've sworn it had the intention to kill! The bun (the whole sandwich, in fact) is heavily saturated with oil, and it doesn't seem to be ashamed of it! It's as if the whole sandwich (including the bread) is deep fried! Actually, even the garlic fries are brazenly greasy, almost to the point that they are quite soggy. As for the iced tea, it's actually really refreshing and nice (a great counter to the oily stuff)!

So yeah, despite being super tasty, the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich comes at the price of being super unhealthy. Hence, I'm giving it 4 stars out 5 stars. If Fowlbread can make everything not so candidly greasy and oily (the bread at the very least), then perhaps 5 stars out of 5 stars will be in order...

Finally got to try it again after the store's renovation!

New item that I loveeee and would definitely crave again and again - Pickle Chips!!!! Sooooo good for a pickle lover like me! It's crispy on the outside but you can still taste the sweetness and tanginess of the pickle, it's not too sour and just the right balance! And best pair with its sauce!

As for the chicken sandwich, don't know if there's a change but I think I like the old version, or maybe I just didn't had it for like forever? Chicken skin is good but a bit hard to bite on the middle part but the chicken meat is good though, it's juicy! And juicier with the pickles on top, also love how the bun is buttery and soft!

Will definitely be back again for the pickle chips and will also try that chicken sandwich again maybe the i'll get the OG one next time.

As for their place, definitely more chairs and tables compare before, but if you can't get a place inside (with AC) and be seated outside, I'm telling you, you'll be sweating alot, suggest to add stand fans instead of wall fans as it's not...
