Ran out of sauce bowls at the condiment station and were unable to restock when informed, shout REALLY loud whenever someone enters or leaves, and the kitchen broke two bowls within our first thirty minutes dining there. We were seated at the booth closest to the kitchen.
Tables are wide, making conversation difficult, and they constantly interrupt you to ask if they can take away empty bowls or plates. Perhaps they are in low supply. They also do not have any knives for you to use, and there is a constant loud whirring sound that makes it hard to hear what your companions are saying. If I were not with family, I would have probably eaten in silence.
I had made a mistake and used the wrong credit card. They told me that they could not reverse the charge for me. The cherry on top of a bad experience.
Food and ingredients are good, except the shrimp is not deveined (photo included). The different soups taste pretty similar, and the 麻辣 (mala) soup has no 麻 (ma).

But City Hotpot turned out to be the perfect spot for both of us.
The staff were super friendly and guided us to our seats right away. I ordered shrimp with black mushrooms, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the whole experience of cooking the food myself—it made the meal more fun and memorable.
My sister went for ramen with mushrooms and green veggies, and she was equally happy with her choice. It’s rare to find a place that caters so well to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and this one does it right.
Overall, I’d say City Hotpot is definitely worth a visit. The food is fresh, flavorful, and fun to prepare. I loved everything we tried here and would...

Since it’s ala carte, I think it’s just a bit too expensive considering you can already get unlimited elsewhere for the same amount you might end up paying here. (You also pay for P70/pax to use the sauce bar and condiments)
Staff are nice although I agree with some reviews here - that the waiter had to keep consulting to someone whenever we asked details about the food.
Overall it’s an...
