I was a bit hesitant to eat here when they first opened because I thought it would be too â¨boujee⨠since itâs Shangri-La after all. But my friend told me the price is actually quite reasonable.
I got the Kickass burger (Php295) which is their basic burger (Born bun, lettuce, tomato, wagyu patty, barbecue sauce, dill pickles). It has no cheese but you can add extra (Php40). I also got the messy fries (Double fries topped with pulled pork and Raging Bull BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese).
The burger was okay, but I thought it was underseasoned. I like my burgers well seasoned. The corn bun was delicious. Iâd rather have this than brioche which is the âinâ thing right now in burgers. Raging Bull has self-serve sauces as well, which all tasted fresh. They have ketchup, mayo, chilli and garlic, barbecue sauce, hot sauce. Barbecue sauce is their signature so make sure to get that.
The messy fries were fried perfectly. It wasnât soggy even after being smothered in the pulled pork. Itâs actually a meal in itself if youâre not a big eater.
The servers werenât friendly and I thought they were just dragging themselves until closing. Itâs a minor thing though, but steers away from the usual Shangri-La workers (or any hotel worker) that are usually happy to serve.
The place was cold, the tables were clean and there werenât much people staying for dine in.
Raging Bull offers decent burgers with a good price point. Itâs not the best in town but if you want quality...
Read moreRaging Bull Burgers definitely serves some of the best burgers around! The beef patties are perfectly cooked, and the mix of flavors from the ingredients is spot on. Even though Iâm not usually a fan of sweet potatoes, their sweet potato fries were surprisingly delicious and made a great side for the burger.
I also really enjoyed the dark interior design and the black napkins, giving the place a cool and modern vibe. However, I did have a small issue with the menu. I ordered the âHow to Kickass at Home DIY Kit,â but when I received the receipt, it showed âKickass.â After clarifying with the staff, I found out that the DIY kit needs to be ordered 24 hours in advance for preparation, but this wasnât mentioned on the menu.
Another thing worth mentioning is that one of the staff members seemed a bit unsure of her task, which caused a bit of confusion. Additionally, for a restaurant that serves burgers and finger food, they donât offer eating gloves, which I think would be a great addition. Instead, they provided flimsy disposable knives and forks, which werenât ideal for enjoying a premium burger.
Overall, the food was great, and I would still recommend Raging Bull Burgers, but a few improvements in customer service and dining essentials could elevate the...
Read moreI'm on Manila on a business trip staying at Shangrila the fort. This burger place is just outside one of the exits from the hotel.
Menu was burgers (of course) plus three kinds of fries and they had a bunch of beers. My colleague and I ordered The Mighty Beast burgers, a messy fries to share and a beer each (a Raging IPA and an el Toro Blanco).
The burgers are excellent. With good taste and juicy. Bun is crispy and soft (perfect) with the usual tomato, etc. and I think some bacon and their special sauce. I would come back to eat it but it's not the best I've had. See my other reviews on BurgerLabo (in Singapore), etc.
The messy fries which are thick cut fries with pulled pork, cheese, etc. weren't great. Kind of stodgy and not much taste to the pork. We left half of it behind which is telling.
Beer was okay; my colleague liked hers more than I liked mine. Didn't really go with the beef.
Overall, I would come back for another burger but not for the...
