Raging Bull Chophouse & Bar, nestled within the luxurious confines of Shangri-La Hotel in BGC, proved to be a delightful gastronomic adventure during my recent dinner with colleagues. From the moment we stepped inside, the restaurant's elegant ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for a memorable evening.
The first thing that caught our attention was the impeccable presentation of the meals. Each dish was a work of art, meticulously crafted and arranged, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. The aesthetics alone were enough to whet our appetites, and we knew we were in for something special.
To begin, we ordered the potato gratin as an appetizer. While it was decent, it didn't quite reach the heights of the other dishes we experienced later. However, any thoughts of disappointment quickly vanished when the main courses arrived.
The steak and lamb rack were undoubtedly the stars of the night. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and bursting with flavor. The chefs had truly mastered the art of cooking meat to bring out its best qualities. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, as both dishes left me in awe of their delectable taste.
The mashed potatoes served as a side dish were exceptional. Creamy, buttery, and seasoned to perfection, they were an absolute hit among all my colleagues. We found ourselves shamelessly indulging in second helpings, unanimous in our verdict that these were some of the best mashed potatoes we had ever tasted.
Now, let's talk about the desserts – they were an experience in themselves. The dessert portions were generously sized for sharing between two people, and we were glad we did just that. The bourbon ice cream dessert was a delightful surprise, with its unique blend of flavors. It perfectly balanced sweetness with a subtle kick of bourbon, leaving us craving more.
However, the clear winner among the desserts was the lamb rack. The succulent lamb, perfectly seasoned and cooked, was complemented by a delectable sauce that elevated its taste to new heights. I highly recommend trying this dish as it was the standout star of the dessert offerings.
In conclusion, Raging Bull Chophouse & Bar delivers an outstanding dining experience. The ambiance, impeccable presentation, and above all, the exceptional quality of their steaks, lamb racks, and mashed potatoes make it a must-visit restaurant in BGC. I wholeheartedly recommend trying the bourbon ice cream dessert and, without a doubt, the lamb rack – it's an experience you won't soon forget. Whether it's a special occasion or a gathering with colleagues, this restaurant is sure to leave you with a lasting impression and a...

We were guests at Shangri-la so we decided to try Raging Bull. I typically don’t write reviews nor reach out to management, but our past dine-in experience made me feel compelled to do so.
We are from New York so we already have certain standards when it comes to steak and upon seeing the prices on the menu, even before coming to the restaurant, high expectations where already set - because, why would an establishment charge this much for a steak if it isn’t high quality?
Here are the reasons as to why last Saturday has been extremely disappointing to the point of all of us wanting to actually file complaints:
Starting of with my drink order. I asked the server if I can request for the drinks to be alcohol free and she said yes. I cannot consume alcohol due to medical reasons. When my drink came, 2 people I was with wanted to try it first to make sure and to our surprise, it still had rum!! That was very bad. When I asked the server again as to why it had alcohol she said “it’s pre-mixed,” so then why did she still serve it?? That’s complete negligence and could potentially cause a severe accident.
The issue of “pre-mixed” drinks bothered us. Raging Bull had a display of full service bar yet you’re serving “pre-mixed” drinks? This should be labeled on the menu.
None of our food came out hot. Did the chefs just let them sit? Everything was room temperature, at the very least. Steak and sides should never be served this way.
None of our steaks were cooked at the right temperature we requested. Our medium rare porterhouse came out really rare and when we asked for it to be fixed, the steak they returned to us felt “microwaved,” to the point of being too tough to chew. My friends’ rib-eyes were also way too chewy for them to eat. Nobody finished their food.
It wasn’t that busy so why was the service so slow? It took an average of 20-30 min to get served drinks. It didn’t make sense at all.
We hope, going forward, that you truly listen to what your customers need or ask for. Allergies and even the smallest food preferences should be taken seriously. We cannot believe we paid that much just to look at out food and walk our completely dissatisfied. We sincerely hope you take time to read this message and reassess...

Appetizers: Beef Carpaccio: This dish deviated from the traditional preparation, presenting what seemed to be cured meat with carpaccio-style dressing. While innovative, it didn’t align with our expectations. Rating: 2.5/5 Jumbo Irish Oysters: Exceptionally fresh and flavorful, these oysters were a highlight of the meal. Highly recommended. Rating: 5/5 Crab Cake: The crab cake had a pleasant taste but appeared slightly over-fried, affecting its texture. While decent, it might not be a repeat order. Rating: 3.5/5 Steak Tartare: Well-prepared with a delightful dressing, though there was a hint of ketchup in the sauce that seemed unnecessary. Overall, a commendable dish. Rating: 4/5 Bone Marrow: Simply grilled to perfection, this dish was both straightforward and delicious. Rating: 5/5
Main Course: • Striploin Wagyu MS5: Cooked to a perfect medium as requested, the steak was juicy and flavorful. A standout recommendation for steak enthusiasts. Rating: 5/5
Sides: • Dirty Rice: This side lacked depth and character, leaving much to be desired. Rating: 1/5 • Double-Fried Potatoes: Crispy and well-seasoned, these potatoes complemented the steak nicely. Rating: 4/5
Service:
The service, while earnest, had areas for improvement. Staff seemed eager but occasionally rushed, attempting to clear plates before we had finished. There were minor communication issues, possibly due to language barriers, and instances like improper beverage service (e.g., not pouring soda correctly) were noted. Overall, the service was satisfactory but has room for refinement. Rating: 3.5/5
Ambiance:
The restaurant boasts a classy and romantic atmosphere, making it suitable for various occasions. However, the air conditioning was notably cold, which might be uncomfortable for some...
