First, the waiting experience wasn’t great. We arrived a bit earlier than our 7:30 reservation because we wanted to check the place out first and settle down. The greeter made us wait a while before telling us that they couldn’t let us in yet cause they weren’t done setting up our table (understandable). The greeter said that their waiting area was downstairs, so we went down. But we saw no signs of a waiting area - just dean and deluca. We decided to wait by the elevator for the call.
Second, (here’s the big part) the food I ordered was terrible. Mine: Petite Filet & Shrimp — Steak itself was seasoned TOO SALTY. — Quite tough to chew (not tender like the description on the menu) — I don’t think it was medium rare — Shrimp was tough and overcooked. We only voiced out the concern when the server asked us how the food was. She was quite apologetic about it and called the manager. Manager came by and said she’ll have it replaced. We didn’t want to have it replaced anymore cause we didn’t like the taste, but she insisted. (In our experience, US based restaurants would insist to strike the dish off the bill). Replacement came and it wasn’t at all better. Sure it was less salty but it looked sad and like it was just the same piece of steak but poured with water all over to reduce the saltiness. The steak seemed more over cooked and overall wasn’t great. They didn’t ask anymore how the replacement was; I guess they assumed it would be okay.
Third , some “little things” Basic cutlery was missing. No bread knives. No butter knives. Server said the salad knife was the butter knife. If this were a casual restaurant, I’d understand, but for fine dining price, I would’ve expected a fine dining experience. Sounds were bad. Throughout the dinner time, the music kept “scratching” or disconnecting. Not sure if it was an old CD playing or maybe Bluetooth was getting disconnected. Not sure but it was noticeable. Some simple requests were off. Asked for some bread so I could taste it. They seemed to have forgotten, and after a while they came to take my unused bread plate (because they said the next course was arriving, but it arrived maybe 10 mins later) Had to remind them that I asked for bread. ^ These little things I normally would brush away, but because of #2 (the food), I tried to remember what went well and what didn’t.
Upon leaving the restaurant, I tried to talk to the manager so hopefully they could improved, but she seemed like she didn’t care (I understand that maybe she was stressed because it was a full house). I felt her annoyance and decided to choose my battle. I left feeling very bad, disappointed, and shortchanged.
Rest assured I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Would rather stick to my tried and tested steak places (Mamou, Antonio’s, or even home cooking).
More power to your other restos like Chili’s though. That’s a classic.
P.S. it wasn’t all bad. The Lyonnaise Potatoes and Cheesecake were quite good. But for a steakhouse, I’d expect the steak to be good. Our server in particular was a great and one-woman-team. Couldn’t blame her for the small hiccups because she was the only one assigned to us....

I came. I saw. I meat-ed.
If you haven’t been to Ruth’s Chris yet, you’re seriously one medium-rare away from questioning all your life choices. This isn’t just dinner — this is a sizzling, butter-drenched life event. And if you’re lucky enough to get Jars as your server? Congratulations, you’ve just leveled up in the game of dining.
Let’s break it down: • Ahi Tuna Appetizer – Like your ex: spicy, cold, and unexpectedly addictive. But this one you’ll actually want to keep seeing. Clean, fresh, and just enough heat to remind you you’re alive. • Ruth’s Salad – It’s a salad. But it slaps. Crunchy, tangy, and a tiny bit bougie. If salads were this good in school, I’d be valedictorian. • Ribeye – Oh. My. Steak. Perfectly cooked, aggressively juicy, and served on a 500-degree plate that could double as a medieval weapon. You’ll want to marry this thing. • Au Gratin Potatoes – Crispy, creamy, and possibly illegal in five countries due to how addictive they are. • Creamed Spinach – Don’t act brand new. Yes, it’s spinach. But it tastes like it summered in Paris and came back with a personality. • Molten Chocolate Cake – Soft, gooey, rich — just like the man I plan to date after this meal. The perfect sweet ending to a steak-fueled serotonin ride.
And now… JARS. Where do I even start? Jars doesn’t serve — Jars performs. This man could upsell air. Funny, warm, sharp as a steak knife, and somehow knew what we needed before we did. Give this man a raise, a trophy, and maybe his own Netflix special. If Beyoncé was a server, she’d be Jars.
Final Verdict: Come for the steak, stay for Jars. Leave questioning if you’ll ever love another restaurant the same way again.
Pro tip: Wear stretchy pants. And call ahead to ask for Jars. You...
Read moreWas there with and ordered for a group of 9 for dinner.
I ordered a good quantity but the waiter was very pushy to upsell additional items that turned out to be way too much / tried to push the expensive wine (which is priced at / above Singapore level and wasn’t particularly good at least for the house wine) - not a huge issue for me but could have been done a bit more customer oriented given we already ordered the most expensive items on the menu anyway. I specifically ordered to bring soup first and then all salad, steaks and sides together.
As one member of our group was stuck in traffic I asked to hold the food for 15 minutes (I asked three times because I know the Philippines quite well ;) ) but surely the soup arrived not even 5 minutes later with one person missing. At that point I asked again (twice) to wait with the rest of the food - but you guessed it, the salads arrived while k hadn’t even finished the soup.
I was not happy because it was clear the steaks must’ve been fired now as well based on this messup but asked to hold the food until my friend arrived (luckily he did shortly after - before the 15 minutes I had asked for)
Now he had to gulp down this soup while the rest of the food was served.
Food was good enough (but not excellently any stretch) however the shrimp on the salads were ice cold and the steaks too far done (medium instead medium rare and well done for the smaller items which indicates they were fired at the same time which anyway is wrong) - both no surprise as they’d been fired 10 minutes early.
At PHP 76k ie 8k per head including only two bottles of wine that’s not good enough and also not the standard I’d expect from the chain which I...
