Staffs are welcoming. We were seated right away as we booked an advance reservation. However, this is the KBBQ place we disliked the most among those we've tried. We were always out of meat and the serving was extremely slow. It was only the second time we asked for cheese and they said it was still being prepared. It took so long, and they gave us the second order of cheese when we were almost finished eating. It was disappointing because cheese is one of our favorites at KBBQ places. We really didn't get to enjoy it. The same thing happened with the steamed egg, which is one of our favorite also at any samgyup place. The first time we ordered, they said we should wait 10 minutes because it was still being cooked. But after 10 minutes passed, there was still no steamed egg served. It took almost an hour for them to serve the steamed egg. When we asked for another batch, it took just as long to be served. We only ordered 5 servings of rice, and we booked for 15 people, but they said the rice was still being cooked. Almost every time we ordered something, they said it was still being cooked or prepared. Like, what do you mean? Are they just about to cook the rice from when we ordered it????? By the time the rice arrived, we were almost done eating, so we didn't finish it because we also didn't have much meat left and time was running out. Not only did we have to repeatedly follow up on our orders, I also had to go and approach the staff personally, because they were hard to call. The place had a very poor management. It was chaotic and the service was extremely slow. We didn't enjoy our dinner and didn't get value for money because we ended up eating very little due to their slow serving. As for the food – their meat is NOT good. It was mostly fat with hardly any meat, it was nauseating. You lose your appetite because even their potato marbles seemed like they weren't washed properly, like they had just been taken straight from the ground. They were dry and had holes with dirt. The side dishes were also meh 🫤 – we didn't like any of the sides. The steamed egg was too dry as well. You could literally see the disappointment on our faces while we were eating. We left without feeling full because our 2-hour limit was up, but we'd eaten very little due to the extremely slow service. The grill wasn't managed properly either, there wasn't even an adjustment of the flame, which is why it took so long to cook. We had to change the charcoal and had to wait several minutes before it was replaced, wasting our time waiting. The staff even told us we'd exceeded the 2-hour limit in which we didn't feel like we'd had a satisfying meal in those 2 hours because we really hadn't eaten much and spent our time mostly just waiting for the orders. Hopefully, the management will improve because so far, this has been our worst KBBQ experience.

**Rating: 1/5** I recently visited Seoulgyupsal, hoping to indulge in some authentic Korean cuisine. Ambiance and Service One of the highlights of Seoulgyupsal is its friendly and attentive staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and prompt service. The waitstaff was courteous and made sure to check on us regularly, which made the dining experience pleasant despite the other shortcomings. The Food Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. Here’s a breakdown of what I tried: -Tempura: The tempura was quite disappointing. Instead of the light, crispy batter that one expects, it was soggy and lacked flavor. - Tonkatsu: The tonkatsu was another letdown. The breading was overly greasy and the meat inside was dry and tough. - Kimchi: The kimchi, a staple in Korean cuisine, was bland and lacked the characteristic spicy, tangy kick. It felt like it had been sitting out for too long and had lost its freshness. plus their kimchi rice which is so saggy texture. doesn’t tasted like kimchi tho. (included the pics below) -Side Dishes: One of the joys of eating Korean food is the variety of banchan (side dishes) that accompany the main meal. Unfortunately, not all side dishes were available, and those that were offered were mediocre at best. This inconsistency was disappointing, as it detracted from the overall dining experience. But I liked their california maki 🤗❤️ Drinks I decided to try their red tea, expecting a refreshing beverage to complement my meal. However, it tasted oddly medicinal, reminiscent of tempra (a type of liquid medicine). It was an unpleasant surprise and not something I would recommend. Price On a positive note, Seoulgyupsal is quite affordable. The prices are reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option for those who want to try Korean food without spending too much. However, the low cost is a double-edged sword as it seemed to reflect in the quality of the food. If you’re on a tight budget and value friendly service, it might be worth a visit, but don’t set your culinary expectations too high. And we just ended up paying their left over charge. :)

It really was not a good experience, especially for its price. The place looks old, and the leather booths are ratted. The food was NOT good. The kimchi tasted expired, and when we asked the waiter to change it because it was sour and not spicy, the waiter said, "hindi naman po maanghang ang kimchi." The steamed egg was powdery. No other way to describe it: powdery and with a sour aftertaste. Even the bean paste dip was sour. Now it is 12pm, and as I am writing this, the waiter tells me that the cashier has not even clocked in yet, so we are stuck here until they arrive. The waiters are scrambling as they do not know what to do. I find the high ratings of this place extremely hard to believe. The quality of food here is bad, the restaurant feels old and dirty, and the staff members do not seem to know what to do-- on top of all of this, it's 100-250 pesos more expensive than the decent KBBQ restaurants in the Metro.

Visited this weekend. I understand the long wait as it is still in soft opening. Waited from 6:10 to 7pm to be seated. However, when we already had our table, everything was really disappointing. I understand that probably the staff were already tired and undermanned. But they kept on accepting guests to queue without notifying the waiting time. From getting our orders, to serving the sides, the meals, the drinks, you had to wait for more than 10 minutes and follow up with everything. The dining experience was the worst.

No designated staff at the front desk to attend to the queue No designated staff attending your table First order were 6 items from the menu, served only 3. Other items did not arrive specially from the Japanese menu. No utensils nor drinks were provided at the start, had to follow up Side dishes were served maybe an hour after being seated, even the lettuce. Learned that stocks run out. Second order came complete but it was already past 8pm. Our hunger already passed. Table was sticky, glasses and plates were wet and sticky as well. Had to wipe everything Floor was unkempt and some areas were slippery. Understandable that it was raining And lastly, to my horror, our grill plate came out from the restroom. Same with the lettuce. Maybe the staff used the restroom (which was closed to customers) to wash the lettuce or put water on the plate.

I would have stepped out already if not for my companion who wanted to eat samgyup, was already starving and had spent a great deal of time waiting. Didn't want to ruin the night by being upset. Was really patient that night trying to understand that the staff were already overworked. One of them gave apologies, we accepted but I really pity them. Management should fix their outlet. I would never come back here.

No value for money. Bad service. Bad hygiene. Eat samgyup somewhere else, there are a lot of other cheaper and better options...
