mySTAY BGC East — Hotel in Taguig

I enjoyed my almost-a-week stay here. The place is budget-friendly yet fully functional, has minimalist design but not cheap-looking and very accessible from the main road (located just along the Kalayaan avenue).

I found this place in airbnb and initially could not believe that there is an affordable place to stay in BGC. Miss Rachel Ong was very responsive to all my inquiries via email and it always takes her less than 30 seconds to reply. Her responsiveness was the reason I decided to book, plus they don't require any down payment for the reservation.

The place is surrounded by lots of food stores like local eateries, silogan, 7/11 and Jollibee (Kalayaan branch). I explored BGC just by walking from here. It has very fast wifi that I was able to stream netflix smoothly on the android tv in my room. I was also able to continue my work in my room without lag or disconnection. The room also has very good AC, clean/soft bed, reliable shower system with heater, ergonomic toilet with bidet, and the entire room is just cozy and scandinavian. More importantly, I felt secure during my stay.

But the highlight of my experience is the presence of the helpful staff. I was about to repack my things when my luggage lock didn't function. I asked for assistance from the lobby and a security staff went to my room to help me fix my luggage problem. In just a few minutes, we were able to get the zippers out of the luggage lock without damaging the luggage body itself.

I stayed there in Jan 2023. I used this hotel for the first time, as I wanted something similar to MySpace BGC where I stayed a lot but where I found the rooms were missing window view. MyStay BGC does have a better view from the window. Though the rooms are smaller. What I appreciated about my stay there: Nice staff, very accommodating. I was only booking one night at the time, and they helped me as much as they can to give me the same room. They kept my heavy luggages in their storage room. Tine from front desk was particularly helpful, and Hazel, though a bit more shy was also nice. I liked that they have a gym on the 3rd floor, though you gotta consider that, there is an additional fee of 50php/pax, and that walk in guests from the neighbourhood also uses it. The gym is at decent size for the hotel, but becomes quite small after 3 people in. Wifi, Okay Bed, Okay; Central location to go around BGC. I walked and e-scootered around with ease to go to High street and SM Aura.

What I didn't like too much: The room is pretty small. Not much space for the luggages. Some annoying fruit flies are hard to get rid of. No water boiler available. The bathroom is tiny, and you gotta get your feet wet to go the WC anytime, as you gotta walk through the shower area. The shower does have hot water, and water pressure is okay. It...

AVOID! FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS. It is ridiculous how dirty the rooms are. They should not be renting out rooms dirty like this! No internet/wifi because it was super spotty and kept disconnecting me. Had to use hot spot

This place is so dirty and nasty. Attached are pictures of massive urine stains on the sheets. Manager did not care at all.

Also area is not walkable. It is hard to get to bgc from here walking. The shower had really bad water pressure. Barely any water dripped from the faucet. Bugs were everywhere and I got bitten by them too. And yes they charge a lot if the linen is dirty so make sure to check before checking in.
