The narration of facts: My friend and I, on July 31, 2022, from around 22:00. We noticed that there was no one to assist us in taking our orders, so I decided to approach your cashier/acting supervisor named Sheena (not sure because your staff doesn't have name plates on them). Sheena happily took our order (Gamtajang, Meat Mandu, and plain rice), and then I returned to my seat. A few minutes later, Veronica served our table with Gamjatang and meat mandu, including the side dishes. I thought she would serve the rice eventually, but after waiting for a while, I realized it was no longer the case. I followed up with another staff (male) to serve our rice which he did right after I asked. We ran out of water and tried asking Veronica to refill it, but she interrupted us immediately by saying, "Wait lang." I didn't even have a chance to say what we needed. When we decided to pay our bill, I tried asking if we could pay using our credit card, and Veronica responded, "Wala po. May cut-off po kasi iyan Sir." I worked in the bank before, so I know what she says is a lame excuse or a lie. So I told her to get me her manager so I could raise my concerns, to which she replied while walking away, "Wala pong manager ngayon." I tried waiting a bit, and when I realized she didn't get someone to assist us with our concerns, I walked straight to the cashier (Sheena) and asked if I could speak to the manager. Sheena told me that she is the acting supervisor as the manager is usually off-duty at night. I explained to Sheena all my grievances (slow service, misinforming clients as to why they can't take card payments, and Veronica's rude demeanor, evidenced by her walking away if spoken to). Sheena and another staff apologized for the experience, but I told them that Veronica should at least acknowledge her lapses and talk to me. She instead hid in the staff quarters and refused to face me. Sheena followed her and tried persuading her to talk to me. After waiting for a while, I followed Sheena at the back and saw that Veronica was not moving an inch. I told her I would report this incident if she did not take accountability for her lapses. Veronica replied, "Sige gawin mo."

I escalated this incident to Zhu Ba Jie email address a few days ago, but they have not acknowledged my complaint.

Thus, I am sharing this public review to deter those who wish to dine there. Food is nice, but I don't think your dignity as a customer is worth trampling on by someone named Veronica and seems to be tolerated by the management.

I love the food 😋 we ate here at around 9pm on a weekday. There were many customers and some had to wait for couple of minutes to be seated. There were a lot of Korean regular customers. We ordered GamjaTang and another dish which i forgot the name but it has glass noodles, potato, onion leeks and pork. Generous serving of meat ❤️ meat is really tender and tasty. The dish with the noodles is too spicy for us, but since it tastes awesome we were able to eat it all. You can ask for unlimited refill of the Gamjatang soup! My friend who's a regular customer here said that the head chef is a korean, so i think the taste is authentic. Kimchi is also one of the best i've ever tasted!!! They have wet wipes instead of tissues which is a plus. They also offer alcoholic drinks here (soju and beer), and they also have korean ice cream. I'd definitely come...

The place for fall-off-the-bone meat. The best korean pork stew we’ve ever had!

They serve a few side dishes as soon as you’re sitting down. The service is okay — staff was friendly but they’re always on their phones. Most probably because there weren’t many people around when we dined in. Menu selection is not overwhelming at all so it’s easier for us to order.

The pork stew is a must-try here. Super delicious and the meat is incredibly tender. There’s a balance among spicy, sweet, and salty.

The Korean mandu was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I could really taste the kimchi!

Definitely coming back for the pork stew and to try other dishes!

Only downside is the cleanliness factor. There were tiny cockroaches all over the place and the bathroom...

The first time I've ever tried Gamjatang was at this place and my god was it to die for! It was so so good and so worth it To be honest, the first time we tried this place, we only ordered their chashu rice and mandu since we were hesitant to order their gamjatang since their prices aren't cheap. So when we wanted to try a different korean dish, we opted to splurge and get the smallest size gamjatang and their kimchi pajeon. And my god was the gamjatang so good and their smallest size could feed 3pax already + the pajeon was good as well! Definitely order soju for this one! Definitely a must-try and definitely a recommend! More info @akitchenfeed on ig
